Great new speaker from Klipsch ... Very impressive sound quality which I go to when not listening to my Klipsch KLF 30 Towers. The added input connections with a build in phono pre amp adds good versatility and the build in power supply adds convenience. Nice upgrade from the Klipsch One.

Just opened the Three for Christmas and I am more than happy. Put it through my standard music tests and the quality is better than expected. Zero distortion at high volume. For comparison, I asked for this to replace a (battery) failing JBL Xtreme. The JBL has been great but I will say the sound quality from the Three is a definite step up. Great sound stage from this little thing.
I love The 3’s. I’ve been a Klipsch customer for 20 years, and never disappointed. I got this as a gift for my daughter, who is just getting into music. It’s small “cute” enough that she can fit in her room or dorm in a few years. but it has terrific sound and surprisingly rich bass. I wanted to show her how much better music can sound than on her iPhone. The smile on her face when she heard Fleetwood Mac on quality speakers was worth the price. She said it sounded “so rich and crisp”. Proud papa.

Decent Sound But…

I bought this based on reviews glowing about the awesome Klipsch sound and the connectivity with a phono preamp. I am a little disappointed with the sound. Sound is good but you have to have the speaker in sweet spot of not too quiet and not too loud. Also I feel there is a mid scoop or mid weakness especially when playing the phono. I only read one online review that mentioned the weak minds which I find surprising. My Sonos book shelf speakers sound considerably better when playing over Bluetooth. An adjustable eq would be a nice addition.
This is our 3rd Klipsch Three II. The first was great; the second arrived with no power and damage during shipping. The most recent arrived safely but the remote doesn't work. Speaker is great. just these minor annoying issues.

Decent Tabletop, too bad the bluetooth is not HD

I have two Klipsch Three II units, purchased ~ 2 years apart. They serve a niche application (table top, compact package, BT, phono pre-amp, aux in), and for that it does a decent job. Bass is pronounced and it does get impressively loud. However, the older version I have shows up with 'HD audio: Qualcomm aptX audio' on my Android device. The new unit does not have this option, and the spec sheet is on version 03, without mention of BT specification. THD is also prominent at high volume. It seems the hardware was downgraded along the way and I can tell the difference on complex tracks, but again for 90% of cases for how this speaker should be used, I think it does a respectable job.
To elaborate - The sound quality leaves a bit to be desired at times. If you only use it for filling in the background for ambiance or parties, it's great. If you're looking for a discerning presentation of a masterpiece, you'll unquestionably be disappointed and misguided in your pursuit for unobtainium. I don't fault Klipsch, I believe their marketing is appropriate.
If you're looking for the same feature set in a higher quality presentation, you'll have to step up to the Fives, Sevens, or Nines.
