[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Device functions as intended and overall seems great. It is rather large in size and a bit on the heavy side, maybe by design. We have open seating, so if placed in a cable tray the weight is a good thing as it remains in place. If placed on the desk, weight helps hold it in place, but then this is when the size is noticed.

I purchased 2 x WD19DCS docks for new Latitude 5540 laptops and both docks had problems with various ports (pulsing behavior on video ports, ethernet port randomly disconnects) and had to be replaced within 2 days of use. Yes, the latest BIOS, firmware and drivers were in place.
I would recommend this to a friend!

But I must note it is not powerful enough to reap the full power benefits of some models of Alienware's laptops. The stock powercord will still be needed to take full advantage of the computers power system.
