Motion Detection and Spotlights Don't Work

I bought two of these cameras a few days ago and installed them as an add on to my DVR5580. After installation, I found that the motion detection and th sotlights dont work on either of the cameras. There are no options to turn this functionality on when I try to set it up via the DVR. I have emailed Swann Technical Support and have received no response either.
I don't know if the cameras are faulty or if there is a way to turn these features on. Either way I haven't received any advice yet from Swann. I am very disappointed with the purchase and lack of support on this issue and it looks like I have wasted my money on these cameras.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
