[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the ProBook to get the DVD reader/writer. The 15" ENVY was out of stock or something. I like the ENVY keyboard better. I like the lower price of the ENVY too. As for performance, I think they are about the same.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a fan of HP products and have also been pleased with the service. The experience was very good all the way through, even when I had a problem they worked hard to correct it and get me all set up.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just now really getting into the laptop but seems to run silky smooth and fast. So far i'm excited to start pushing it to it's limits and see how it helps me get through my day to day.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works great! If only the HP color LaserJet Pro MFP M479 printer worked as well!
It works, than the software somehow makes the printer stop working with my programs. HP smartfriend works, than turns to printer department. I am now on hold for over 1 1/2 hours! So stupid, and such a waste of time!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The back lit keyboard is very easy to use, keys are perfectly spaced and is the right space for my hands and wrists. I customized mine with more memory and some other features and I love it. Only wish there was 1 more USB port, but other than that, it is perfect.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jury still out on actually using the computer as it lacks a standard SD slot; micro-only. I've ordered a Probook 450 (which has the SD slot) and found a buyer for which ever of the two I don't select. How convenient for me! That said, the keyboard on this device is quite exceptional: Much better than the KB on the Elitebook 840 G1 it replaces. It also has a pair of mouse buttons and a joystick, which I find handy.
And despite reading some negative reviews about the low resolution, non-touch, non-glare screen, I find the brightness level ample to say the least. And 'no glare!'
I had hoped to be able to leverage the power supplies from my Elitebook for use on this device, but no soap. Wrong diameter connection, despite everything else being the same. Pooh!
Regardless which machine I choose -- this 650 G5 or the 450 G6 -- I'm confident I will be happy with the HMI. Windows 10? That's another matter.
