Disappointing Quality

For the price of this gate it is very disappointing. It is not as easy to open as advertised and the middle clamps that hold the gate the right width don't work well which has led to 2 almost near accidents where the gate appears to be closed, yet is not latched securely. I would not recommend.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great gate but hard to align

Great gate but really difficult to align correctly when installing! There’s a very small margin of error and the guides that come with it aren’t sufficient. I don’t understand why the screw anchor holes don’t have any room for vertical adjustment, as that’d be the easy fix. I generally consider myself reasonably handy but had to reinstall our first gate three times to get the right alignment, and our second one twice.

This model does require very precise alignment, and you’re right that the margin for error is small. One important detail from the instructions that often gets missed is that the packaging must remain on the gate during installation. Keeping the protective wrap in place helps maintain the correct spacing and alignment while you mount the hardware. Removing it too early can make the process feel much harder than it needs to be.

Not all screws secured

Gate was easy to install and all the screws are secure except two of them that most likely need anchors. Unfortunately you don’t know the anchors are needed until after it’s installed which is annoying because you have to uninstall everything to put the anchors into the holes in the wall and at that point you’d need an anchor for each hole that was not needed before.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Long lasting

Gate works as intended. Got it in 2019 for dogs ( 2 German shepherds) . Sturdy, well holding weight of the dogs , installed in 40 inch wide doorway opening. Haven’t had a problem yet. My only regret that didn’t got 2 , since there is no more bronze color just white. But if I need another one, I’ll get any color because I know that it’s worth it.

the easiest gate to install

This was so much easier to install than the other gate that we have. I had my husband install it but as I watched him do it I realized that I could easily have done it myself since you barely have to do anything except put the screws in the wall. The screws are already positioned inside the frame so you don't have to get them from a box or sort which piece goes where. Seriously this could be installed in less than 5 minutes. It is really sturdy and we are my son just learned to climb and tries pulling on everything so I'm glad it's secured tightly in the wall. highly recommend this--especially if you hate putting together furniture and following a huge book of directions, this is nothing like that. The easiest baby product we've built.

Easy to install and no tripping over the threshold. We have this in our kitchen and play room and love how easy it is to open/close as these are high traffic areas.

Easy to use and set up!

Very easy to use and set up. We have a 19 month old and needed something a bit more sturdy for the stairway. It opens and closes great for us yet keeps her from opening it (even though she tries everyday ) If you're looking for a gate and are okay with having to screw it into the wall, I would suggest using this or something similar from this particular brand.

Great gate - easy to install and latches snugly. Sturdy construction and looks nice! :-) my toddler likes to pull on gates and this one doesn't budge!
