Easy installation and ease of use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit mounting methodology made installing the unit quite easy. The only issue i had was the stainless cover was to tall for my short ceiling kitchen so i had to have it professionally cut for the final phase of install, which i knew ahead of time was likely. Looks great, works great!

Problem with damper

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the hood just fine except the damper keeps allowing cold air to flow into the kitchen. The contractor says there are 2 dampers and he installed correctly. I have found that if I run the blower on the maximum level and turn the blower off the damper closes better but the problem keeps coming back.

Way too loud!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the bosch 500 series wall hood and assumed that it would be really quiet. BUT NO! The hood is NOT quiet and on the most powerful setting, I have to yell to be heard. I love Bosch appliances - just not this one.

Love our Bosch Hood!

It looks very sleek and stylish and the 8" exhaust ensures that all of our cooking smoke and smell gets cleared really fast! We ordered the extension because we have 10' ceilings and it looks amazing! Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality hood!
