Surprisingly Noisier than our previous Bosch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had the previous generation Bosch dishwasher, it lasted more than 10 years. I replaced the motor once as the plastic impeller seperated from the drive motor, and I also replaced the soap/rinse aid dispenser box as it was leaking. We always marveled at how silent it was, only until the drain cycle when you could hear the waste water gurgling down the sink drain. Well, this Benchmark unit is noisier on all fronts. The motor hums, the wash noises penetrate the door more easily, and the pump power is so much more intense that the waste water gurgling sound in the sink drain is jarring. The previous model was so silent you almost didn't know it was running. This one, however, you are always aware. I'm beginning to think it's been faulty this whole time, as now the motor moans throughout the cycle and you can hear a low rumble/moan even in other rooms. It almost sounds like someone is running an excavator a couple houses away.
Meanwhile, the dishes are always spotless and sanitized so no complaints there.
I would recommend this to a friend!
