Easy to Setup

I was given the Thermacell Mosquito Repellent to try and review. I like the fact that it is compact and colorful. The instructions are detailed and simple. I live in Louisiana where mosquitoes are a constant problem all day. The Mosquito Repellent was placed in the middle of a table on my patio. After the device was started we waited 15 minutes as instructed. There were fewer mosquitoes present but I do not feel that the zone was 15 feet rather it was more like 10 feet. I like the fact that there is not any scent, quiet, and no smoke when using the device. Since it is the beginning of the season the 4-hour mat was sufficient but later into the summer the mat would have to be changed several times and the cartridge would have to be replaced more frequently. I looked up the price of the cartridge and mat and found that it is expensive. I might purchase another Thermacell Mosquito Repeller for when visitors come so that the whole area will be covered. I will also compare the prices for the cartridge and mat at other retailers. It does repel mosquitoes but I do not think anything can keep all of those Louisiana mosquitoes away.

Absolutely A Game Changer!

I already knew about Thermacell Portable Repellent and was impressed. So i bought several of the Patio Thetmacells for my mother's 81st birthday party. Everyone was so astonished how there were no insects flying around, no mosquitoes nor flies. This is one awesome device and I feel blessed to have them. I have been recommending your products to everyone i know. Now i can sit outside in the evening unafraid of getting bit ot aick. Keep up the excellent work.

I tried this product since I live in a state which has a lot of mosquitos in the spring and summer. This product works great repelling mosquitos. So nice to be able to sit outside on my porch and enjoy an evening of no mosquitos. I highly recommend this product if you live in an area with a lot of mosquitos.

Spray free repellent

I wasn't even aware these were a thing. I love there's no sprays or horrible scents involved. It has a natural repellent and best of all it's pet friendly. I like sitting on my porch at night and this helps keep those pest away.

Terrible product

Bought this thinking it would repell mosquitoes but did the opposite. I let it warm up for 15 minutes and placed it upwind and it didn’t do anything. The mosquitoes were still coming as their usual behavior and this device didn’t stop them in the slightest.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hard to light/won't stay lit

I bought this product to use on my patio. I thought it looked nice, pleasing color and shape, unobtrusive, and not messy. After unpacking, I read through the instructions and thought, seems easy to use. Screwed in the fuel canister, turned it on, clicked 3 times and nothing. I tried again, nothing. Turned it off, waited a bit then tried again. Clicked what seemed like forever and finally I saw a glow in the sight glass. After about 3 minutes I noticed there was no glow. Started over trying to get it to light. It finally did and we used it for 30 min or so. It did keep Mosquitos away for that time.
When we were done, I shut it off but didn't remove the fuel canister. A couple day later, I tried to light it again and couldn't get it to work. I checked and the fuel was empty.
I am very disappointed in this product and would not recommend it. My advice, get something that is rechargeable/battery operated.
