Horrible... waste of money

I purchased the Thermacell Patio Shield Mosquito Repeller from my local Fleet Farm store.... biggest waste of money ever! I bought it on the 4th of July in hopes to watch the fireworks without the horrible mosquitos! WRONG!!

Had no noticeable effect. Tried using at our suburban home on the backyard patio as well as the front yard porch. Each time, started at least 30 minutes before any mosquitos were typically noticed. Regrettably, they arrived like clockwork, unaffected, and in swarms.

Difficulties and effectiveness seem questionable

I experienced difficulties in igniting the device and found that the fuel cartridge became depleted before even using the third slide in plate.

It works. I purchased the unit from large sporting goods store. The unit was using to much butane. I contact thermacell the customer service was excellent. In a few days a new unit was sent and refills. I am customer now for life a new customer. Thanks again it works no bites. Great experience thanks again. Paw

I purchased this, the MR450 and 120 hour refill package. Can't get either one to ignite and the distributor will not let me return them.

Sorry that your Thermacell repeller is not working. Have you checked to see if your device is heating or if the mat needs to be replaced? Mats should have a bit of blue color left/ A good indicator that your device is on and heating up is seeing the orange glow in the view window that can be found at the top of your repeller. If you are still having trouble, contact us directly and we will help you out.

Unable to ignite

Cannot get product (brand new out of box to ignite. I purchased it several months ago, but never used it.) First attempt, the orange glow appears for about a second and then disappears. So not happy with this product at the moment.
