The NETGEAR Orbi RBR50 is a great router and satellite combination, I live in a rural areas and I love the coverage I get and how much faster my internet got as soon as I installed this

Setting the Orbi up in the begining was hard for me because the app didn't work on my phone for it, but with a computer was very helpful and has been great to use from then on

The Orbi family excels at ease of use! Networking continues to be unnecessarily complicated and filled with jargon. All I needed to do was plug in the satellite, attached it to the network via an ethernet cable and all the other configuration was handled by the router. Easy!

Finally I Have Total Coverage

I have struggled with internet coverage in my home for years. The original structure is a 30’ x 30’ cinder block building that has been added on to extensively. Because of the construction I have never gotten good internet connections or extended internet in my whole home. I recently had to replace my modem and my old router and extender system would not work with the new modem. I had bought the Orbi system several years ago but never installed it. It was still in the box sitting in my office. Since I needed something I decided to install it. WOW what a difference and what a shock! Even with this set being several years old, I had it up and running within 20-30 minutes. Plus I had great coverage in all of my home. This included my sun porch and the separate studio about 10’ behind my home in a totally different building. Next was the test of would it stay connected. My old system had to be re-set every 12-24 hours to maintain coverage. I had several repair people look at it and they were all baffled as to way it would not stay connected. Well I am one week now on the Orbi system and NO re-sets. To finally find something to work after years of struggle is wonderful. Thank goodness for Orbi and it’s extenders. I finally have a stable and reliable network.

Purchased the wrong Orbi

I purchased the Orbi unit used. It was the wrong Orbi for what I needed. This unit had a cable input and not lan connect for the input of internet. My mistake. I’m sure it works fine.

Works well, but slow to set up

To be fair, we got our Orbi setup secondhand, but I encountered several delays in setting it up, from extremely slow processing times on the app (to the point I ended up restarting the whole process because it seemed frozen) to mysterious satellite disconnections. Now it's all put together though, and it works perfectly well! Strong wifi through the whole house where a different brand could only get 2 bars.
