ORBI RBK50 Router and Satellite

Very easy setup. However, I have 1 gig Internet speed and all I seem to get is under 400 mbps even directly connected to the router with an ethernet cable. The one item that is corrected so far is that I am not seeing the constant buffering on the TV.

Breathes life into an old house

We had a severe dead zone and these have absolutely changed the house from a wifi-free boring place to a plethora of connectivity. Perfect and easy to setup and manage.

Good System

Once we got the firmware to the right level (took several calls to the help center and an elevation to a higher level of support) everything seems to be working fine. Just switched to fiber optic and I'm still trying to get my speeds up to what is advertised.

Orbi RBR50v2

I purchased the Orbi mesh system to increase signal strength throughout my home. I noticed it goes offline for unknown reasons. The 90 day support is weak as the some issues don’t show up until later. Through the app I was not able to change my password and maintain the security of WPA2. It would a an automatically change my security settings to WPA. I figured out I had to do this by logging directly into the router. Overall I rated this a 3 star due to operational issues experienced the coverage and speed I get throughout my house is great.

Simple Setup

These devices are about as plug and play as this type of device can get.
Management should be simple, even for someone with little tech background.
Support for custom firmware and router-level VPN would be nice, even though it's a bit outside the bounds for what is marketed as an entry-level device.

One option that would be really appreciated is to make the units black. Being the size they are, the white just stands out too much.

User friendly installation

I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to set up and configure my Orbi system. My Orbi replaced an Apple system that was lacking speed and security. My home network's performance is now incredible and secure thanks to Bitdefender. I would highly recommend Orbi to everyone!
