Very nice access point

So I bought this in kit in costco, overall it is a very nice "router".
I am using it at my house as a access point, as i have cisco firewall in the front. Overall it is very solid, the only thing I really want to see is the parental settings, since I am using it as AP, those settings are automatically disabled, so I can't really take advantage of that. So I have to use my cisco to make sure I am monitoring my kid's internet activities. But expect that, signal is good, ping is very low (I am using FIOS Biz Gig network), very impressed, previous I used cisco AP, Dell AP, not as good as this, and I need to have POE+ switches to support them.
Netgear, very solid, nice job.

Outstanding Performance

Before purchasing the Orbi system for our home we had gone through several different routers and extenders. My home office is downstairs and that's where the main router and modem are connected.
Our home is a walkout ranch with around 3000 Square ft. We always had issues receiving consistent connections upstairs in certain rooms. We would experience a lot of dropped and weak signals.
After purchasing and setting up the Orbi mesh system out problems were over. We have not had any problems with connecting all our devices and all the signals are strong and consistent.
If you are looking for a powerful and high performance piece of equipment this is your answer.

Blazing speeds/No dead zones

We bought a house that was built in the early 20th century (1905 I think). Because of that, the walls are made with lath and plaster. As some know this can really kill your wifi signal. After a lot of research I decided to give the Orbi system a try, and I am not disappointed. I keep the main router centrally in the downstairs, and I have the satellite upstairs in our master bedroom. I've also purchased a small satellite for the back porch so I even get internet outside, and in my garage. The wireless signal though my whole house is excellent and the speeds are 340+Mbps...keep in mind I only pay for 300. If you want excellent wifi coverage, and blazing speed, look no further.

More coverage then expected

Very impressed with the Orbi so far. I've had the set for about 2 weeks and in the increase in coverage is great. I bought the Router with one Satellite package. My main goal was to provide a good signal to my shed about 100' from my house for my Ring spotlight cam. My standard wireless router could not get any signal at all out to the shed. What I thought was I'll get the Orbi package to give my house good coverage and I'll then have to order the new Orbi outdoor satellite to reach the shed. Well I set up the Orbi system in the house and I have found that with it I an getting a good strong signal at the shed 100' from the house without needing the outdoor satellite at all.

Netgear Orbi AC3000 Triband

Love it. Got rid of old cable modem/wifi router all in one and bought a new cable modem without WiFi and connected cable directly to the Orbi router and place the Orbi Satellite upstairs. My desktop PC went from 72Mbs over WiFi to 150 Mbps, my Nexus 6P link speed went from 165 Mbps to 486 Mbps, PlayStation Vue, Netflix, Amazon prime and all other network media I use no longer have the circle, I'm running 5 TV's cable service through PlayStation Vue, 3 laptops, 1 desktop, 2 phones, and all at the same time to test the performance and received no circles or lag, most importantly since upgrading to Orbi I'm receiving kisses from the wifey on how she's happy that we purchase Orbi

NetGear Orbi AC3000 Must Have
on May 29, 2019

I just replace my Apple Router. Had no problem with it but it just can support all my smart products. With everything now using Wifi including Our television and more things coming avaliable
needed a router much more stronger . We have a upstairs and down stairs and with the satellites it makes it even better. Love the guest Wifi options and easy installation . Also the reviews for having your printer not being easy to install. Had no problems. Except make sure you are on your admin Wifi and not the guest , otherwise you can't connect to the printer. Just love my new Orbi router and gave this a five star. Recommend this item to work with all your apple devices. Thumbs Up!!!

so good I bought 2

I first purchased the Netgear Orbi system for my house about a year ago, and when I needed to replace the wifi router in my condo recently, I didn't hesitate to buy another one. The three biggest selling points to me are:
1. Coverage -- no more dead spots in the house.
2. Speed/Performance -- with my old router I was getting 30% less mb/sec in download speeds. With the orbi I'm truly getting the download speed I'm paying for
3. Easy setup/manageability -- setup and management of the system is done through the app. I can monitor connected devices, speed, traffic, etc on both my Orbi networks through the app and you can also do so without being connected to the wifi network.

Exceeds Expectations

Replaced an existing Netgear wireless router with the Orbi, and one satellite. Installation was easy and both reliability and coverage have been flawless. Have a 3400+ sq ft 2-story home with about two doz devices attached. From the automated pool panel at the rear of the property to the cameras in the front, I receive 5 bars, where previously I was struggling to lock in and hold a signal in some places. So pleased I did not fool around signal boosters. Even found an occasion to direct connect a Cat 6 cable directly to the satellite. Only improvement would be another couple of wired cable connection options on the rear of the Orbi base unit. Pricey but worth every penny.
