Orbi fixed it all
on May 29, 2019

I replaced my old netgear router which was shot. Was only getting 14Mb down of the 200Mb I pay for. Orbi was easy to setup although the app didn't work for setup, it kept failing at step 3, I had to plug in ethernet directly to my laptop. After that it was a few clicks and done. It covers every inch of my 3 story 4000Sqft house. I'm getting 230Mb down (I forget what up was, but it's the most I've gotten in this house). Overall, I could not be happier. Phones, Chromecast, Pc's, Mac's, iPad, Roku. All running strong! It is expensive, but it does work well, I don't plan on having to worry about routers for a while!

Best WiFi Signal Across Concrete Walls
on May 29, 2019
Posted by: Oscar55775
I live in a two story town house and the construction is full concrete. Had a big issue for so many years regarding the WiFi signal not reaching the first floor (my Cable Modem WiFi is on the second floor). With the Orbi I now have excellent coverage all around my house. XBox is working now beautiful and now I can really work from anywhere in my house (I do a lot of audio/video conferences in my job). The Orbi is a little more expensive vs. other solutions, but at the end I am really saving money and more important is the savings in hours and hours of my time per week. It is a no-brainer.... get Orbi NOW !!

Solved all dead zone issues
on May 29, 2019

This system has solved all my dead zone issues, in addition to providing full uninterrupted coverage for all rooms. My neighbors understandably all use WiFi creating interferences, and my condo is relatively long and narrow, which leads to multiple walls between the router and connected devices, weakening the signal materially. I used an expensive router with a very long range before, but still had to enhance my coverage through extenders, while still leaving dead zones and having issues and delays when my devices had to reconnect to better signal sources if I move between rooms. Orbi has solved both problems.

Excellent Product

I have a 2 level house with an approximate 2000sqft floor plan and this services the entire place including the much of the property surrounding the house.
One satellite is in communications area and other is near TV with all networked devices plugged into it. That feature is pretty nice.
System configuration was simple but missing a few advanced options. One in particular was the ability to update dyn-dns which I have a subscription to.
I have yet to put it through many other networking and streaming tests but so far the system works seemlessly and I have had no issues.
Overall I'd recommend it.

why I up-graded
on May 29, 2019

I had a Netgear range extender which helped at the time but it was not the solution to slow streaming on my TVs. I friend suggested newer line connection from ATT and the ORBI system. When I looked for the ORBI it was the ORBI65 that kept showing up on the search. I purchased the two unit system given the size of my house. I just plugged it into the ATT router and followed the directions. Streaming is faster and the wireless signal strength to my Canon print is now 100%!!!. When the new ATT Router came it just improved it some more. Easy install and greater range make it worth the extra money. Just buy it!!!

Very Impressed!!
on May 29, 2019

I was sceptical about how these would perform in my house. I tried the Google WiFi 3 pack and the Eero 3 pack and both of these devices instantly lost 2/3 of the speed as soon as I went upstairs or to the furthest corner room. Im sure this is due to the routers changing to 2.4ghz. I returned both systems and got the Netgear Orbi 3 pack and Wow, am I impressed. I get full internet speed in every corner of my house without skipping a beat. I check my speed every few days because I'm still in shock that this system is holding up. It's been a month so far using Orbi and it looks like this is a winner and here to stay!

Blown away!
on May 29, 2019

For a little perspective, I'm in a 2600 sq ft home with my router at one extreme end of the house on the main floor. Previously I couldn't get consistent Wi-Fi to my bedroom on the opposite side of the house upstairs, which is why I bought this system. Seeing as this is rated for some 5000 sq ft, I suspected it should do the trick. What I didn't expect, however, was for my Wi-Fi speed to go from 80 Mbps to 210 Mbps!! Absolutely blown away by the performance. I was already using a decent aftermarket Linksys router before, so I wasn't expecting doubling my speeds. I'd recommend this set up to anyone!

Love the Orbi
on May 29, 2019

I just moved and needed some serious bandwidth upgrade on my WiFi to support the multiple wireless devices I now have connected. I read reviews and comments about the Orbi so I picked it up. Best purchase I've made in the new home so far. I was always having connection issues with all of the devices the family used and now those issues are toast. The mesh WiFi in the house is great covering areas I had connectivity issues in the past. Now everything and everyone connects with no issues. And I love the parental controls and easy mobile app set up. I highly recommend the Orbi to anyone with a highly connected home!
