Easy Set up - powerful capability

Got a great deal on a refurbished Orbi so took the plunge. Previously had a dual band AC3200 router that was being taxed by my switch from Dishnet to streaming TV services. I was experience connection and buffering problems. The Orbi has solved all those problems. Setup was extremely easy using the IOS app. I have a 4200 sq ft house with three floors - 4 wired devices and 15 wifi devices - and base/satellite mesh system gives me strong coverage everywhere in the house (even in the yard around the house) with no buffering or connection issues. Excellent product that I recommend highly!

Sheer Unparalleled Excellence

Simple yet very effective, I have a 5000 square foot building with shear walls that are 6 inch insulated 5/8 2 sided plywood sheathing with 2 sided 5/8 sheet rock on all interior and exterior walls. The metered signal is 95 % all areas including our office/shop that is 4000 sq.ft. not attached 250 away from the main building, still receiving 90 %
metered signal. I will purchase 1 additional satellite for the system and locate it in the shop to make all indoor and outdoor property areas full coverage, simply stated,everyone with larger WIFI requirements should purchase and install the Orbi.

Best investment

I recently moved for work reasons and was in need of a new WiFi solution, in my new place I haven't office in the basement which is where I have my fiber modem located, with the Orbi system I'm able to have the router in the basement and the satelite unit in the second floor and have full coverage throughout the hose at over 500mbps over WiFi, it broadcast a 2.4 and 5 GHz channel, the app makes it simple to manage and view a full list of the devices connected to your network over WiFi or wired to the router. Would definitely recommend to a friend, family member or even you reading this.

Best Router I've Ever Owned

I recently purchased a 2,400 sq. ft. brick home and wanted to make sure that I had full coverage. I placed the router in the basement and the satellite in my daughters room about midway on the second floor. I pay for 250 mbps and recieve around 300 mbps no matter where I am in my house. Even if I'm outside and the signal is going through brick, I still get 80 mbps. I would highly recommend this router/satellite for ease of set up and performance. I have a Netgear C7000 modem/router combo. I disabled the wifi radio's and plugged in the Orbi without any issues. I love this Router/Satellite system.

Non-Techie Compatible

Bought this system after a review search recommendations. With streaming TV using Roku and Amazon fire, we needed a more robust and reliable WiFi nework. In a nutshell, the Orbi was essentially plug and play. The instructions were simplistic and the online setup guided through to even allowing us to keep our existing network name and passwords so that we didn't have to reconnect with our Nest and MYQ devices. 10 minute process from start to finish. Our network is now strong throughout the house and streaming TV on multiple sets without buffering is accomplished. I highly recommend this system.

Worth It

Since we moved into our split-level house I have been struggling with getting a strong wifi signal from one end of the home to the other. After reading about all my options, I decided to buy the RBK50. It was the most I have ever spent on a wifi system before but I am now a month into my purchase and I can say it was well worth it. My wifi signal is very strong and fast no matter where I am at in the house and it has solved all our streaming issues we had with our many devices (4 Roku's, 2 XBox's, 5 mobile phones (wifi calling also), 1 Fire Stick, Nest Thermostat, 2 tablets and multiple laptops).

Vastly improved wifi connectivity

I had been using a high-end router. However, I live in a large, multilevel home - and new neighbors have been moving in. Translation: poor signal in some parts of the home and new neighbors with their own routers, making it even harder for devices in my home to connect soundly. Installing the Orbi system was very fast, and now I have outstanding connectivitiy throughout the entire home. It did take a little time to determine optimum placement of the units.
In addition, I'm very pleased with the inherent security in the unit, including the built-in firewall. Necessary in this day and age.

First Mesh System

I bought this for a 3,200 sq ft, three level home because I wanted a system that I could keep the router in my mechanical room and a have a satellite somewhere around the house. The satellite is on the second floor and I have great coverage and speed everywhere I go in the house. This is an awesome system and the price seems to be coming down since launch making it an ever better deal. At first there was some trouble getting the satellite to connect and keep connection but that only last a few hours, I think there was an update needed and that has really helped. No issues anymore. Love this system.
