Excellent Product

I had reviewed lot of mesh routers as well watched through YouTube Videos was a tricky business what to purchase as Google WiFi, Lynsis and Orbi were in competition. After lot of thoughts and consideration finally decided to purchase Orbi AC 3000. I just loved it and I amazed the way it works and trust no more wife complaining that our internet sucks. I have a gigabit speed she complained a lot and so me complaining about internet at night time. Orbi AC3000 solved my problem I just love it. Right now I am just looking for some issue so I monitor my internet but no issues right now.

Why did i wait??

I finally decided to get a wifi mesh system. After many years of trying routers with increasing power and bands and wifi extenders. I think 4 different sets over 8 years. Nothing ever worked well. My video streaming was poor to dismal. It was hard to watch internet tv with losing signal. I read about wifi mesh and after reviewing several sites that gave orbi high ratings, i decided to try. Setup was a snap. Basically plug and go. Best wifi signal i have ever had in my house. I can finally watch netflix and prime video on my internet tvs without disruption. Fantastic.

WOW! Amazing, saved my life!

I am an online gamer. I love to sit and play overwatch and madden but the wifi in my apartment is horrible. I bought a new updated router with Spectrum and the only way it was good is if I was LAN connected. This was fine except the wifi was in the living room, and my girlfriend, who likes to be in our room, would be upset as she sat and waited in the room. Getting Orbi allowed for the connection to be strong enough to play in my room! And now we have a smart TV that is connected to it as well so now she can watch her favorite shows in the room (we didn't have cable). LIFE CHANGING!

Fast, easy, and huge improvement

After struggling with a router for over a year that no longer played nicely with our devices, we invested in our Orbi. Normally I dread hardware changeovers, particularly ones with core functionality like our network. But our Orbi installed as quickly and easily as advertised; 5 min and we were back on the internet with almost no input necessary. In fact, the hardest part of the installation was registering the product due to some issues on the Netgear site. The signal is solid throughout our house and even our wired network is working better with all the bad signals now off of it.

Totally worth the money

I have a gigabit connection but used to get ~100mbps with my previous router in the farthest room (which happens to be my home-office). I swapped the old router with the Orbi (literally took me 10 minutes to set everything up), and now I get great download/upload speeds - it doesn't make any difference whether I'm sitting right next to the main router or in my office!
Also, some of my home-automation devices are 2.4ghz only, and the Orbi was smart enough to automatically support them without me manually turning off the 5ghz channel (which I've had to do with other routers).

Stellar WiFi improvement

After limping along with my home wifi network using some old uncoordinated access points in the only areas that my wiring could be placed, I decided to make a change. Orbi's setup with the app or URL is dead easy and I was able to get set up very quickly even with all the DHCP reservations and NAT entries that I was moving over from my old network. Adding a satellite unit to a funny corner of the home was so simple. I now have fast, consistent coverage all over my house. I have remote access into my network with the built-in VPN support. What a dramatic improvement, and a great deal!

We bought the Orbi router to give us better wireless coverage in our 4 level home. The standard Linksys router we had was leaving dead zones in areas of the house. We put the Orbi base unit in the basement and the satellite on the 3rd level. Wireless coverage is great everywhere now. Set up was super easy. I didn't have much interest in the Orbi app initially, but I downloaded it anyway just to see what it offered. It ended up being pretty cool and offers me lots of information about my network and who is on it. It also provides us a way to manage restriction on our kid's devices.

Nighthawk X6 to Orbi

I originally had a Nighthawk X6 Triband router but had range issue and constant internet drops. I saw that the Orbi satellite has direct connection so I went with that so that my PS4 would have direct connection. This has totally changed my WiFi for the better and I have no drop off at all. I see a lot of reviews where they have drop off with Orbi. I do see that I have to go, on my phone, to WiFi settings and turn off WiFi and then turn it back on but that is a very minor and is nothing compared to what I was dealing with before. I am very happy with my decision to go with Orbi RBK50!
