Best thing ever!!!

I love this router I had a google mesh and I was still getting dead spots in my house and also I wasn't get my full potential out of my internet I switched to the orbi and all I can say is wow what a difference no dead spots I love how it changes you from 5 to 2.4 automatically I seen a huge increase in my internet speeds faster then what my internet provider supplies me with and to tell you my security camera have been working a lot better I mean just everything in my home has been working better this is worth is 120% no question about it

Fast, easy and impressive

After a lot of research on WiFi systems to cover my space, I made the decision to go with the Orbi system. After some reviews, I was not certain I would get the speed I was looking for as I spread out my mesh web, but I could not be more pleasantly surprised. Speed within 10-15 ft of my satellite are as fast as right next to my router. The drop off at a further distance, say 20+ feet is about 50%, but much greater than anything I have tried in the past.
I am thrilled with my results and glad I made the decision to go with the Orbi system.

Concrete and obstacles

Wow! Again...wow! This system has paid for itself quickly. We are military and live in government ran housing that is constructed of rebar and concrete. So needless to say there is no signal in any room if you have a normal wifi system. It was frustrating. Your phone wouldn't work. Televisions and computers weren't working unless you performed a yoga pose in the right room like you were a set of 1970's bunny ears on top of the tele'. Now we have fast reliable wifi and that allows us to do everything throughout the house! It's amazing!

Easy setup, great coverage

We live in a narrow house with 4 levels, and our standard Sagecomm router that came with our Charter setup only gave reliable coverage on the main floor (where it sits), basement, and some of the 2nd floor. The Orbi setup was surprisingly simple: just plug into power, your modem, and it was good to go in 10-15 min. Satellite (repeater) went on the 2nd floor, and now we have excellent coverage in every corner of the house. A little on the pricey side, but if you have a large or multi-level house, the ease of setup and coverage are worth it.

Game changing router!

This is the first router I have ever used that there is honestly no difference in speed whether I plug my computer directly into my modem via ethernet or use the wireless! And with the satellite that same speed is everywhere in the house on all devices. I can even sit out on the street in my vehicle and still get faster speeds than my cell carrier 4G connection.
Also, when they say "plug and play" easy to set up, they aren't kidding! From unboxing to ready to use was less than 10 minutes. I could do it in three now that I have done it once.

Greatest router I have seen

The price was daunting, but I got to say it is worth the money. Everything on my network is faster. By a lot.
This is a "true mesh" setup so your device just grabs the best signal from the closest router (either the main one or any of the satellites scattered through the home). "true mesh" means all nodes are treated as one ssid (one router and a single password). And the whole system is as fast as can be. I went from 30Mbs to 91Mbs on speedtest.net even in the previously dead areas of my home!
I can't come up with any complaints.

The Orbi system was, by far, the easiest system to setup and configure. I purchased the 2 unit AC3000 WiFi system and you can easily move the satellite around your home or office to get the optimal WiFi coverage you need. You can also easily add an additional satellite for larger homes or offices. Configuration of the system is all done through the App which is very easy to use and navigate even if you are not technically inclined. Over the years I have purchased or upgraded several Netgear Routers and the Orbi is their best system to date.

Great investment

Reading all the reviews and seeing the different online videos, this was the router to have to get the best coverage. But I didn't know what to expect till I hooked up the Orbi router. First setup was an very easy and the directions were excellent. Using the app or weblogin (via PC browser) was easy and gives an beginner or power user many options. I have had the router running for 1 week and I am very happy with the results. Even my wife was very pleased with the wifi connection and not losing it. Great work Netgear on a wonderful product.
