Orbi Solved a WiFi problem

We switched to use FIOS in our area when it was recently installed. The router installed with FIOS was supposed to have much greater range for WiFi. However, and after getting one replacement, the WiFi range was much worse than our old DSL router's WiFi. The solution was Orbi with a single satellite. The problem was solved, we have outstanding speed at all areas of the house and can hit every area in the house with WiFi. Very pleased with the solution with Orbi. Installation was easy, and the only problem was Windows 10 related.

Great for 2 Story Home

This product has increaed wifi speeds dramatically through the house. We are currently have 500 mb internet coming into our house. With the internet company modem/router it quickly diminished below 100 when in another room. This unit alone seems to send wifi better and the satellite just adds to it. Lowering of speed is noticed through walls/obstructions but this is expected. I am still working on maximizing the location fo the base and satellite with the locations wer are primarily using devices to get the full benefit of this product.

Solved my problems!

The RBK50 blankets the entire interior of my house in high-speed WiFi, unlike traditional routers mixed with AP's. It's seamless, simple, and been very stable for me.
My only real wish is for a slightly more modern web interface, but it's easy enough to get in and do any advanced administration I needed (static IP assignment, port forwarding, etc). I would like to see more advanced config capability in the Android app, but that isn't a necessity or something that will detract from the elegance of this solution for the average user.

Pain free whole house coverage

I'm an ex (retired) IT guy and the set up on the orbi has to be it's strong point. You can use the app but just using a tablet computer (any computer/tablet with wifi) was a no brainer. If I had "any" criticism, it would be that I'd like to be able to select the radio (2.4 or 5 mhz) rather than having the system select for me. But, the system appears to choose fairly well on it's own with my dual radio systems opting for the better 5 mhz band. The bottom line for most folks still has to be ease of use and this is as easy as it gets.

Excellent coverage and performance

I live in an 1100 sf two story condo. My router has to be upstairs and one room downstairs was always a dead zone. I had a very high end router and tried some extenders but it always led to very poor performance in the dead room which was a problem because it has a Nest Cam and Nest Detect that never stayed connected. After I setup the Orbi the wifi signal, both 2.5 and 5 Ghz was excellent in every corner of the condo, including the dead room. All of the devices work perfectly and the Orbi was easy to setup (took maybe 15 minutes).

Awesome Netgear Orbi

Wow is how I describe Netgear Orbi! I have a 3 level home and was using a good system of an Apple Airport Extreme router with 2 Apple Airport Express to extend the wireless network. I still had drop off from my 100 mbps broadband internet to less than 50 mbps in several areas in my home. Netgear Orbi's tri-channel mesh ac3000 system is a game changer. I have 114 mbps over every inch of my home now with one router and one satellite. What a truly awesome product, I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend this revolutionary system

AMAZING!

I was debating between the google WiFi and Orbi, I bought both of them just to see the difference. Not even comparable, not even close. Returned the google next day! Orbi by far is advanced in many ways. It covers all of my house (1850 SF) and my yard. I have about 24 devices that are using WiFi. Including refrigerator to smart sprinkler system. I I have wemo light switch all over my house, before it would take at least 10-15 seconds to just reload and find them, but now not even 2 seconds. So happy with this product. Highly recommended!

I recently purchased the Orbi 3-pack from Costco to replace an aged, malfunctioning Apple AirPort Extreme. The setup was incredibly simple, the whole house is easily covered and probably the entire yard as well. I had only one difficult spot in the setup, specifically when using the mobile app to set it up, when registering the Orbi on the Netgear site it said "invalid serial number." I went online via the laptop and typed it in manually and the rest of the process was a breeze. It was a minor blip, and the system is working like a charm.
