Best WiFi router I've found.....

This WiFi setup was the answer to my problem. My room was just on the edge of the signal from my old Apple AirPort Extreme router. I would get spotty signal strength and it was difficult to stream movies on my Apple TV. Not after I set this bad boy up! Took a couple of minutes, with a very simple setup process, & some firmware updates and no more spots, just good solid WiFi signal. I'll never go back to a single router setup again.

Excellent coverage, easy to use

After comparing the currently available mesh systems, I chose the AC3000 Orbi to get maximum coverage and speed. It has not disappointed, giving me 2.4 and 5 GHz coverage to parts of my home where it was previously scant. The mobile app setup is easy and the web interface is spartan but good enough for your basic needs. Lastly, I thought it was going to be an eyesore but was pleasantly surprised that it fits in quite nicely into my decor.

So far, so good

Installed the system last week to replace a dual band router that lost the 2.4 Ghz band. This was likely due to a power surge at my residence. So far, this system is providing excellent coverage and thru-put of data. I wish I could figure out pushing certain devices to the 5 Ghz band. Haven't taken a dedicated effort though and the 2.4 Ghz band seems to be sufficient at the present time. Overall I am well pleased with its performance.

Solved my wireless coverage woes

I needed coverage for 6000 sq. ft and this is the best product there is. I used a plugin wireless extender before, twice from 2 other vendors and both literally died after a couple of months and I had to return them. Installation is a piece of cake and I did not have to do any MAC address alteration or any other non-documented tricks to get it to work. It works out the box and has given me excellent coverage for the full distance range.

UP UP UPGRADE

I live in a brick house with plaster walls.....That being said I have had multiple range extenders scattered throughout. I have spent big money with low results. I discovered ORBI last week. I bought the AC3000 and disconnected 4 other devices. Immediate difference with just my netgear modem and ORBI with it's satellite my whole house has no dead zones anymore, and I can even stay connected outside!!! AMAZING UPGRADE!!!!! It's about time!

Easy setup and solid performance

The setup took me only about 15 minutes, including customizing the settings. The System has been working with 2 PC's, 2 iPad's and up to 4 iPhone's together for a week, totally trouble free. The only "trick" to me is that, if the main router has been power-off and then power-on, the satellite needs to do the off-and-on as well to connect to the main router; it seems to me that the re-connection will not be automatic in a scenario like this.

Great Wifi

I purchased the Orbi because I could not get consistent WiFi in my garage. I was getting inconsistent streaming of video. To reach my garage the signal had to go through two concrete block walls. With the Orbi, I can place my second unit in the bedroom next to the garage. It gives me a good signal in the garage and that side of the house. It was easy to set up. I purchase it several months ago. I have had no problems with it since then.

Orbi ac3000

I had a google WiFi mesh system with the 3 routers before the Orbi and there is no comparison with signal strength the google system would drop off in the living room and master bedroom, but the Orbi has a 117mb down load every where even outside. The software for the Orbi is not as good as the google WiFi but it decent. I've only had it about a week and so far no real problems. My iPad took a while to get connected but that's about it.
