Fantastic range - easy installation

The Orbi system replaced our Verizon Fios Wifi that had two additional extenders and still was not able to deliver stable signal across the house. Installation was easy via an iPhone (even though the Orbi setup software had a few initial glitches, e.g. did not recognize the satellite, did not connect to the Orbi network properly) - but still everything was set up within 20 min. System itself has fantastic range and signal stability.

I've been looking and buying a mesh system for about a year. Orbi was recommended by an engineer I worked with in the communications and networking space. I went back and forth between this a Velop, and finally got a found amazing deals on both. I am so glad we went with Orbi. From the built-in Disney Circle, to the consistency and speed, the features all added up to a great experience. Amazing range for our home (~3500 sq ft ).

I install ed Orbi RBK 53 in my single story 1800 sqft house.I choose 1 router + 2 satellites because I put the main router in a very corner garage and a steel box network rack. I thought the signal is not strong enough. But, it is very powerful and I think I may not need any satellites. From the farthest point, it still has a single of -70db, which is kind of okay.Now, I installed one satellite using backhaul and it works perfectly.

Amazing a must have

I bought orbi after enduring months of aggravation with our old Belkin router having to be reset 10 times a day. The only time we have had a issue with orbi is shortly after setting up it was dropping signal to our phones during the initial updates but after the updates were done perfect signal. The coverage is absolutely amazing it covers the whole house and the apartment upstairs and almost all the property and its a double lot.

Netgear Orbi Solved WiFi coverage and speed issues

Have been looking to replace my old 2nd generation AirPort Extreme after moving into a larger house and increasing the number of devices used throughout the house (primarily a wireless speaker system); Installed the Orbi router on the main floor at back of house and satellite in basement at front of house and now have coverage everywhere (including front and back yards); Also noticed a significant increase in speed with this set up.

Works great

Had a little trouble since I was hooking it up to a router that I still wanted to dispense DHCP, but now that everything is set up, the wifi coverage is great and seems rock solid. I had three separate wifi access points in the house and still didn't have the best coverage. I'd love the iPhone app to have more functionality, but just on coverage and stability alone, it was well worth it. My house is 3,000 sq feet and three floors.

So, I even the weakest signal in my house is easily 2 to 3 times stronger than before. The highest ping with my old router was about 53Mbps; the highest with Orbi averages 133Mbps. Just, wow! Researched for about a month and was originally going to go with the Google mesh system, but further research showed that this Orbi system offered so much more versatility with control and configuration, plus a better overall signal. No regrets!

Simple to use, but still robust and effective

Other than the automatic firmware not working, this device has been very simple to set up and use. The latest firmware (which required a manual install) added a lot of great features including support for Disney's parent control app Circle. My two piece setup is easily covering 4600 sq ft. Speed is sufficient to handle multiple device including AppleTVs, laptops and phones. Been in place for 4+ weeks and would highly recommend.
