Like an Umbrella...

The Great: The 3-piece Orbi I bought and installed seriously outperforms my aging Apple system. The router found the satellite in the backyard studio the Apple system didn't even know was out there. The iPad and 13" inch MacBook Pro happily joined the rest of the network. The not-so-Great: the app is a joke and I dislike using the web for online maintenance and installation. Still, compared to what I had, the Orbi is outstanding.

Complete Coverage

Our ISP router was lacking to say the least. After 6 years of equipment issues we purchased the ORBI to see if it would resolve our issues of poor signal at various parts of our home. It was easy enough to install and very happy to say our poor signal issues have been resolved and we are extremely happy with it. We have a 3000 sq. ft. home and the ORBI covers all of it including our back patio where we had no signal to our tv.

You get what you pay for

Orbi isn't the cheapest, but it is a rock solid solution.
I had a dead zone in my kitchen where I was getting 2mbps from my 100mbps service. I ran out to the store during lunch and had it installed in 10 minutes. The former dead zone was back to life and providing 80mbps service.
Not the cheapest, but you get easily installed, reliable coverage, complete with parental controls and guest network support. Highly recommended.

Impressive

I hooked up the router and one satellite, I have full strength signal throughout my entire house (3800 sq ft) and outside anywhere on my property (1/4 acre). I also had a strong signal several houses away. This is impressive given the wire mesh installed under the stucco which seems to block all wireless signals. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the other satellite that came in the kit that I haven't hooked up yet.

Orbi works!

Have a 3,600 sqft home and demark point is in the basement on the one side. Had trouble with normal wireless routers getting a signal to the other side of the house especially the second floor. Now I don't get complaints everyday about the Wi-Fi. Easy to set up for a novice. For peope like me in IT and want to customize, it is also easy to set advanced settings and security. Price is a little high but in the end it is worth it.

Orbi

Great coverage and speed. A bit pricey, but investment in core infrastructure for all others to ride on for years to come is beneficial, especially when high sensitivity to latency needs to be addressed. Could use some advance features in device mangement (granular control for which satellite or what frequency a particular device should give priority), bit in general current product fits 80% if not more of the type of user base.

Crazy easy to set up, it's been a while since I've used a recent Netgear product - the last one was a Nighthawk AC1900 router that finally died last year. Wow the progress seems amazing. Very happy with the performance - I'm not a hardcore gamer who needs spit second timing, so can't speak for that crowd. But throughout, coverage, reliability and stability (I do a fair amount of work at home), it's been flawless.
