Netgear Orbi

I have an average size 4bm house and my old router did not have enough wifi coverage to reach the to the other side of the house. I upgraded to the Orbi and couldn't be happier. I have complete access now over the whole house and the connectivity has been solid. I was able to stream 4k video to my TV through the satellite as well. The guest wifi feature is also a nice touch. No down sides so far.

I cannot leave a review unless I gave 5 stars. I wanted to give 1 star based on customer service access. I'm very doubtful this review will show up anywhere. I don't recommend buying if you hope to talk to customer service or if you want to do business with an ethical company. An ethical company would allow all who reply to a survey to leave a review, not just the people who give five stars.

Waited too long to upgrade

Had been using and Apple Time Capsule for the better part of a decade, but it was starting to cause problems. Wanted to upgrade to a mesh system, and all my research pointed to the Orbi. Glad that's what I ended up buying'”easy set-up, most stable connection I've ever had, no bad spots in our house, and fantastic speed anywhere inside and in the yard. Wish I would have bought a set sooner!

My Orbi experience

Before WiFi we were cable users and as the expense of cable grew we explored other options. We started streaming and loved it but we're experienceing buffering problems especially downstairs. We explored options and chose the Orbi system it has solved all our problems now we are looking at wireless home security systems since we are able to stream WiFi so we'll thanks for such a good product.

Painful to setup, great to use

While it is very painful to setup, once you get past that huge frustration and have it setup correctly, it delivers exactly the speed it promised. I sometimes don't understand how some devices pick up the 2.4gb (slower) versus 5gb and over time automatically switch. I'm getting a faster speed connected to wifi from my phone than wired from my PC to the router or satellite. Overall a great product.

100% WiFi all over my house!

I was constantly getting kicked off my WiFi at home and decided based on other reviews to go with the ORBI. I'm glad I listened!!! My signal is 100% at every corner of my house. It's been about a month since I've had it and no issues what so ever. Now I'm looking forward to start converting of few of my light switches and plugs over to smart devices. I know this my ORBi can handle it all!

Simple setup, fast seamless WiFi!

Everything was very simple to get up and running, had a few things that were a bit out of the ordinary with an old WiFi bridge and some other odds and ends with my network. WiFi is now blasting with great signal and no dropouts throughout the whole house (and most of the yard too!). Definitely recommend. The Orbi App is nice as well with a lot of good information and settings at your fingertips!

Solved a two year struggle

Bought this after finally kicking the providers solution WI-FI to the curb. We were at the end of our rope with the existing set up and tried the ORBI as a last ditch effort to get our internet to work. Within minutes of hook-up the internet was running as designed without hiccups or delays. So happy and a bit mad that we didn't cut the misery shorter and just do it sooner. It works perfectly.
