Great coverage for my 2400 SqFt Home

With a family of 5 heavy wireless users I have had an issue recently as I started to convert my home to Smart Home applications. Combined with all the cellphones and other wireless equipment in the house I was losing bandwidth in the home. I was recommended Orbi and that has solve the problem. I now have strong wireless coverage through out the home with no loss of signal.

Great coverage

The Netgear Orbi with satellite has finally allowed for whole home coverage. All of our prior routers left dead spots inside our home. The other routers had no chance of broadcasting to our back patio or garage. The Orbi has solved all of those issues. I can stream from my backyard and my WiFi enabled smoker can now work as intended. Great router. Easy set up. Broad signal area.

Great, strong WiFi

Set up was very easy using the Orbi app. The default settings worked perfect for my house and I have had zero problems with it. Honestly, this is kind of overkill for my current living arrangements, but when I move to a larger house in the next few years I won't have to worry about weak WiFi. I haven't messed with the more advanced settings that are accessible via a web browser.

Finally, stable wifi!

I've been struggling with weak and unstable wifi over a fairly large property. Using a series of wifi extenders helped some, but it wasn't optimum. After installing my Orbi router with two satellites my internet is rock solid over the whole property. Haven't found any dead spots and not had any intances of the dreaded "buffering" messages on my streaming devices. I love my Orbi!

Fastest WiFi Ever!

I have had many high-performance Wi-Fi routers over the years, but I have never been able to pass this much bandwidth through from my cable modem before, ever! This new 'mesh network' system is so efficient, that my 4400 square-foot house only needs one satellite, and every single inch of my house, on all three floors, is passing through almost 450 Mb/sec. of Internet speed!

ORBI - Finally a solution!

We all know the problem of getting solid wifi through the entire house. I tried several different solutions from stronger routers to extenders and nothing worked. Finally got the Orbi and problem solved. I know there are other mesh systems but I really like the dedicated wireless band Orbi uses to connect to the satellite. It's a great system that was easy to install. I love it.

working as expected

Took about 10 minutes to set up. Range on it is pretty good. I have majority of the devices in my house hardwired, and pay for 500mbps, I get around 550 hardwired, and about 400 on wifi. I hard wired my satellite mesh client without issue. Apps works well, able to change name and password, see what kind of signal my devices are getting, turn off the wifi to individual devices.

So far so good. Works great. However, there is only one thing i wish the system allowed me to do...to be able to assign and choose a band (2.4 or 5.0) to use whatever device I want. As of now, the system does it itself. I'd rather have the choice and do it myself, depending on needs and signal strength. But, otherwise the system works fine. Its pleny fast n covers a big area.
