Upgraded to Orbi

Recently upgraded to Orbi from a WiFi/Modem supplied by our internet provider. There was a noticable increase in signal strength and network speed. The Orbi is easy to install. The only room for improvement would be directions for people without a smart phone. Instructions were pretty much non-existent.

Needed to extend Wi-Fi to my garage to set up security cameras! Put the Orbi in my upstairs window and it did the job! Now the cameras are staying on and not blinking in and out!

Excellent termination of WiFi uplink.

My ISP is Telegia, and they beam a WiFi uplink to their router, which plugs into the Orbi. They provide some keepouts for application on the Orbi to allow optimum performance without interference. Also the mesh network handles handoffs much better for portable devices than separate access points!

Had challenges setting up with a Netgear modem. It stopped working and had to repeat the setup from scratch several days in a row. Unable to use some devices on Wi-Fi and some wired to the modem…only one or the other will work.

Very fast network and easy to set

Using the app downloaded on my iPhone the set up of the system was easy. The hardest part is plugging in the cables. The system found and set up my two HomePods and there was not anything extra I had to do to make them work unlike my previous WiFi where I had to reset the HomePods to get to access the WiFi. I set up the satellite in my detached garage and now have fast WiFi all over my place. I recommend this product without any reservations.
