Easy Setup

The Orbi router was easy to setup and gives great Wi-Fi coverage in our home. For those of you who believe they need to separate the 2.4 and 5ghz bands, here is what I did for my setup. Before I did the setup of the Orbi, I created a list of items connected to my old router on the 2.4 band and another list of what was connected on the 5ghz band. When I set up the Orbi I used the 5ghz band SID and password from the old router and then setup the guest network on the Orbi using the 2.4 SID and password from the old router. After the Orbi setup was complete I took the lists I created from the old router and checked to see if everything connected. Everything connected including all my Ring equipment and an old wireless print server. Over the next few days, I gradually moved everything off the guest network I created and now everything is on the one Orbi SID. Having everything on one SID will make setting up new items on the network easier instead of having separate SIDS for the 2.4 and 5ghz bands. Love the Orbi and so far, it works great!

Initially I was sceptical weather to invest so much money on a router, but after using the router I feel I did the right investment. The router gives me a unique experience. Every corner of the house I get same signal strength and lightning speed. Thanks to Netgear for this innovative product.

Great WiFi everywhere

My router has to go in the garage and my wife used to be terrible. I installed this easily and now have perfect signal everywhere. The app is awesome to use, plenty of extra features, like making guest wifi and a children’s WiFi which is more secure easily.
