Great Coverage!

I upgraded to this Wifi Router because I wanted to "cut the cord" from high satellite TV fees. Two of my televisions are on the far side of the house from my main router so I had to rely on wired connections. Adding this mesh network from Netgear has worked brilliantly! I have coverage on my deck and I no longer have to have a wired connection. I even purchased an Amazon Recast to distribute over the air antenna TV stations. This device depends on Wifi so it was necessary to have great through-put, coverage & dependability. The Orbi has not disappointed. Ease of installation, ease of use, great coverage, dependable. Wow, what else do you need?! If you're looking to upgrade your Wifi, you should very seriously consider the Orbi Mesh family.

Blown Away!!!

I recently upgraded from a first generation Wireless AC router from a competitor, along with an extender, that struggled to get decent signal to all the nooks and crannies of my 2200 sq. ft. house.
I did a ton of research about options, and eventually selected the Orbi RBR50 system. I am so amazed by the results, that I will never go back to a traditional router / extender set up.
I get consistent connections and max speed all over my house. I run 4k streams on multiple devices without buffering. I game upstairs on my PC while my wife is streaming music from Spotify in the den without any impact on ping.
If you have a larger space, or have a multi-story set up like mine, this system is going to meet and exceed your expectations.

The Easiest Most Power WiFi Router
on May 29, 2019

I have had multiple wifi routers over the years - but none of them would get to the parts of the house i needed - i tried extenders and they were ok but required logging in to that extender when you went to that part of the house - all confusing and annoying. Finally I found Orbi + 0ne satalite - Simply the most powerful and easiest router to set up i have ever encountered. It fills the house with a powerful signal and does not require different passwords - its all on the same network. I have the Orbi phone app for the router that alerts me to new router firmware and I can configure my network etc all through the app - The Orbi system is honestly the best and i would recommend to anyone who needs wifi that is simply powerful everywhere.

Only system that worked

Change of ISP resulted in only 5ghz being usable so the Synology router's signal at ends of large house was not enough anymore. I tested adding a Amplifi HD Meshpoint, 4 unit Google Wifi and Orbi. Amplifi can extend 1 SSID which was ok but the guest network was still weak. The 5ghz signal speedtest did show about 66% drop. Google Wifi was ok and extended both SSIDs(main and guest) but speed at far end of home was still at 66%. Surprisingly, the Orbi resulted in just about full speed test results at end of house. Orbi also supported OpenVPN unlike Google. I've been happy and amazed with the results. Only issue is that the Orbi GUI does not allow for splitting the 2.4 and 5ghz SSIDs so I had to look at online forums for instructions.

Best mesh system for a reasonable price

After sticking with the stock router provided by my ISP for 10 years, and constantly being frustrated by the poor WiFi range and performance. I decided to go all out this year and get one of the new mesh WiFi systems. I am never one to buy things without first researching it first. Before buying the Orbi, I reviewed the opposing Google WiFi, Linksys, and AImesh by Asus. None of these routers came close to the Orbi. The Orbi truly provides as much coverage as it says it does, unlike it's competition. I love it because it is perfect performance anywhere in the house, and I got to keep all my things ethernetted in! I definitely recommend the Orbi to anyone who is willing to take the time to Set it up and tweak with it till it is just right.

Reliable, fast, straightforward

My household has always used NETGEAR products for our networking needs. Whether with routers, modems, range extenders, etc., we've always been satisfied with product simplicity and consistency. Needless to say, the Orbi maintains that standard. As internet technology has advanced, I have struggled to find a piece of equipment that maintains the necessary signal fidelity and range to suit my household needs. The advent of mesh networking has solved my problems; Orbi's intuitive setup, pleasing appearance, capable AC3000 signal, intelligent dual-band signal management have all met my expectations, and then some. I look forward to seeing how the product performs as time goes on, but I expect nothing less than the bet. Thanks again, NETGEAR.

As simple to set up as advertised

We have been suffering through a standard Apple wifi system that worked great at first but never seemed to cover the whole house, which is not very big. Then I found out Apple was getting out of the home wifi business. Orbi seemed to have excellent reviews and promised easy set-up and to cover the whole house. Well, it does. Our new one satellite system is available in every room and I can finally work at my desk at the other end of the house, instead of the dining room. The actual set-up of the network was quick, just remember that you have to then reset every net-worked device in the house. After two weeks, everything is good. The Orbi app is good but I wish I had a utility like Apple's on my laptop also, as a backup. That is my one concern.

Better than advertised!

I bought this system because my house was built in the 1940's, and for some odd reason the walls are very good at blocking the wifi signal. My house is approximately 3000 sq.ft. and I previously had my cable company wifi router that wasn't working properly. The signal was always bad on my first floor and would constantly drop out. I even added a WiFi extender that helped, but it was annoying having a separate network name and password. When I got the Orbi (RBK50), setup was a breeze and it worked like a charm. I no longer have connection issues and my network speeds are exactly what I've been paying for. The app for it is very user friendly and had great features that everyone one will use. Hands down, the best wifi mesh network in my opinion!
