Easy setup, strong signal

Our Nighthawk 7900 router bit the dust after another poorly performing firmware update so we needed a new wifi solution. We had read about the mesh systems and the Orbi was highly rated. We have a 3500 SF house and there were holes in the coverage with a single router on an upper floor. The Orbi covers both floors, porches and patio very well. It was very easy to set up and after two weeks, there have been no issues at all. I like that the Orbi talks with each device to determine which channel to use. Our 5G products are really working well pulling the signal through two channels. I also like being able to sit out on the patio and get a strong signal rather than having to switch to a cellular plan.

Easy peasy lemon squeezey

I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of set-up. The instructions were minimal to no-existent. I watched a video on how to deactivate the Wi-Fi on my ATT box. That was the most difficult part - which wasn't difficult. I plugged in the boxes and they worked. The satellite units are larger than anticipated. They are ergonomic and attractive but I would have liked a mounting bracket to wall mount the unit. You can buy aftermarket brackets but they should have been included. Basically, you plug in the main box into the ATT box and then place the two satellites and voila it works. I have great Wi-Fi coverage where spotty service existed before. It's not just 5 bars but it actually works.

I was hesitant in purchasing the Orbi AC3000 but after an extremely simple setup I noticed not just a WiFi signal improvement throughout my home, but I experienced the incredible ease of monitoring (and limiting internet access via Disney Circle - just amazing, by the way) each of the connected devices. The Orbi app makes it very simple to make changes to the Orbi router settings such as creating a guest network, updating network passwords, etc. I would most definitely recommend this to anyone seeking to improve their home WiFi (satellite wireless routers can be added with ease), better control device access to the internet (i.e., kid's devices) while monitoring websites visited. Simply terrific!

No more dead spots

I have a 2-story house, with 7 mobile phones, 3 iPads, 2 Fire tablets, 6 streaming units (Roku, Apple TV, amazon fire), laptops, desktops, etc... probably around 50 devices connected to a WiFi.
Before using Orbi I used extenders throughout the house. Whenever I move to a certain area of the house the WiFi drops.
With Orbi and mesh network, there is no more dead spot. The WiFi range is great! The whole house is covered.
It is also very easy to install. Set up the router, pair the satellite and then move it's satellite to another area. The round/elliptical shape of the unit blends in well with the home decors too.
Now let me see how will this take additional IoT loads of a security system.

A WOW Improvement

I was using a router with wifi in the basement off of my cable modem. The basement was obviously good, the main floor dropped a little in throughput but not major. The top floor was horrible... Lots of buffering and delays in connecting to the network. I was at a friends house and he was telling me about mesh networks (He was using another brand) and I came home to do some research. I decided on a tri-band system and I was impressed by the reviews I was reading on the Netgear Orbi so I made my purchase... WOW! I wish I had the nudge much earlier to make this move. My new network covers our home like a blanket. Not to mention front and back yards... The Orbi is a winner - Go get your system updated!!!

A Connection is Made

I do not have a big house but the layout makes wifi tricky as there are 3 levels and the internet is set up on the first. While I was getting passable signal on the top floor, the 2nd and ground floor would bog down hard once friends started coming over.
I have 250 mbps so I needed something to solve slow down and the Orbi came through like a champ!
My wifi has never been better and being able to plug into the satellites and base gives me maximum speeds for the things I need to have going most like TVs, game consoles, and PCs.
Takes a little time to setup and make sure you go through all the steps. Troubleshooting was a breeze for initial setup and once the Orbi was going the whole house was happy.

Best wireless system I have owned to date!

I started reviewing these mesh type wireless devices and knew I wanted something fast and reliable. Netgear has the name recognition and have been around for a long time. So after looking at so many reviews with every one of them saying that these are by far the fastest and provide more than adequate coverage, I bought a set and was immediately impressed with the performance and ease of use. The only thing I don't care for is the app, which I assume will be improved upon with time, but the web interface more than makes up for it with some professional level management features. Hopefully these will be integrated into the app soon, but this wasn't enough of a downside for me to give less than 5 stars.

Should have bought one sooner!

As a homeschooling mom to three children, all of whom are avid gamers, I can't believe we waited this long to get Orbi. Our days have changed significantly since setting it up. The extra speed is fantastic, but I must say my favorite option is being able to connect to Disney Circle and set time limits for the kids.
Mornings used to be a struggle getting them away from the devices to do school work and other things. Bedtimes were hard to reinforce when each one has a mobile device.
Not anymore!
I just need one more satellite to get the crafting computer/printers and cutting machine in the basement connected and we will be all set. I love this router and have been raving about it since setting it up!
