Wasn't sure what to expect

Given prices and hype wasn't sure what to expect with a mesh WiFi system. Reviewed the systems and went with Orbi RBK53 for my House.
On arrival, packaging was superb, instructions were easy to follow and system worked right out of the box. I was up and running quickly. The design of the satellites blends into the house. The system updated the firmware and the app is easy to use with looks of info if you want it.
I couldn't connect an nonsmart 2.4 ghz device, chatted with support and they showed where to turn down the 5 ghz transmit power. That did the trick.
More than expected at a reasonable price. Got rid of 3 old routers.

Works better than expected

After many years of my husband complaining that there's no Wi-Fi signal at the other end of our house, I bought one of these for him for Christmas. Instructions for set up were sparse but there was a QR code to install the app. Once I'd done that it was fairly easy to set it up. We now have great coverage through the whole house. The ability to make a guest account and select a length of time has been very helpful already. The auto selection for the 2.4 or 5Ghz channel is also wonderful. I didn't realize how out of date my old router was until I purchased this. Husband is very happy with his new Wi-Fi range in and around the outside of the house.

The best choice for most people.

Thanks to a dedicated high-bandwidth Wi-Fi connection between the router and the satellite, the Orbi RBK50 kit had among the best throughput and range of the kits we tested. The simple 'put the router where the Internet is, put the satellite in the middle of your house' instructions are impossible to screw up, but for the tech-savvy, it is among the very few mesh kits that provides high-end router features, plus it lets you control your local network without an active Internet connection. The two-unit setup means that your laptops or phones spend less time shifting from one access point to another'”or, worse, not reconnecting when they should.

Orbi has changed the way we use our entire yard

I'm not usually the "gushing review" type but I can't say enough about the Orbi mesh network. I've got our base at one corner of our home where our cable modem lives and I set the satellite up in the opposite corner of the house where we formally had very little signal.
I then ran a speed test from the farthest corner of our lot (opposite corner from the base unit) and came back with speeds that rivaled tests I ran standing next to the base unit! My family can now sit outside and enjoy music, video etc and I don't have to maneuver in order to control lighting, music etc. Just give Netgear your money and stop looking for better mesh systems. :)

Awesome so far

The set up was very easy except for a couple things. There was nothing in the instructions about how to hook up and reconfigure devices that were connected by ethernet cable to the router. Also it would've been nice for them to remind me that all those other peripheral devices such as printers we're going to have to be re-initialized and logged into the new network. Other than that the set up was a breeze
I've also been absolutely stunned by the speed. I was never able to get this kind of speed out of my wireless connection anywhere unless it was plugged into an ethernet cable. I get great coverage throughout the house and even outside.

Orbi was easy / Fast!

Orbi was incredibly easy to install and improved my wifi coverage and speed by 3x (literally). I was previously using a Cisco router w/ a repeater in another part of the house. My wifi speed (on Ethernet) was around 75mbps download, 6mbps upload. On Wifi that dropped to 20-23mbps at best on download, and around 2mbps on upload (and it went down the further I got away from it). With the Orbi, my wifi speed is as good as my ethernet speed wherever I go in the house, and since I'm on wifi most of the time it feels like my speed has tripled on all my devices. I would recommend this to anyone. Installation was really easy ,basically installs itself.

Works as advertised

I was having connectivity issues with my ISP, along with a few dead spots.. So,I began looking for something that could help me with that, and came across the Orbi.. We do a lot of streaming in my home, from tv, to video gaming and there's 5 of of us!! We used to get constant buffering while trying to watch tv, along with wireless devices not connecting properly¡¡... So, with that I went with the RBK50, I haven't had any issues at all, my devices are working great!!! I, must say it's only been about a week though since purchasing, but I couldn't be happier.. Furthermore, the phone app could use a little tweaking, but overall I love it..

Finally, whole-house internet!

We are only a few days in, but I'm thrilled with my new Orbi system. We have an awkward setup, with the router for our home in an addition, on the other side of a brick wall from the rest of the house. Even with a quality booster, internet service in the other half of the house has always been poor. Now, with our new Orbi system, we are getting the speed we pay for in the whole house, with real results (e.g. my kids can now play Overwatch and Minecraft on the family room PC, connected to the big screen...before the lag was too great). My daughters iPhone no longer randomly switches from wifi to data in her bedroom. We are seeing a huge difference!
