Super easy to set up

I live in a 2200 sqft two storey house built in the 40s. The Uber router-modem placed on one end of the house did not provide 5G wifi to master bedroom, dining room and 2nd floor. Netgear Orbi mesh wifi kit was super easy to set up. One thing that you MUST do if you have modem-router all in one unit; you must disable wifi router by selecting bridge mode in the Web gateway of your modem. Just plug everything exactly as it says in the quick set up guide and voila - you have super strong fast 5G everywhere. No annoying switching between 5G and 2.4G when you move around. It costs quitem a bit, but in my opinion it is a great investment.

My Gigabit Internet meets its match - an Orbi!

I had been struggling for last few months to get the full benefit out of the gigabit internet connection I had upgraded to. We had recently moved to a new house and the Wi-Fi signal from our old router was very poor especially on the second floor. After a lot of research on the mesh network and comparisons between Orbi, Eero, Google and Velop, I decided on Orbi. The setup was very easy and got completed in 10 minutes.
The performance has been great so far over the last two weeks and absolutely no issues at all. And my WiFi signal has been strong and consistent all across our home now.
Will recommend Orbi without any hesitation!

awesome upgrade from netgear r6400

After almost 3 years, R6400 starts to show weak signal and signal drop. So I did some research which router I need and thought to go with mesh network. There are few in the market. It looked like Orbi is the market leader and I bought it at Fry's. The price is bit high but I decided to try. And the unit is bit larger than I expected. Anyway, I located the main unit right next to my modem and the sat in my kitchen where is right next to the garage. I had very weak wifi signal in the garage with R6400. Now I have full wifi signal in every corner of my house. I'm so happy and recommend my friends who are looking to upgrade their router.

Impressive System!

Purchased this router after having some issues with my last system - it was a bit on the pricey side but the purchase was justified as I was getting 2 hot spots for the price of 1 (vs. other offerings). I have been using it for about a month and the signal is stronger and more reliable than any other system I have used. I have several mobile devices constantly going between hot spots, IoT "things" everywhere, a local server and TV's, laptops and PC's all cohesively existing within the Orbi ecosystem. I recommend this for anyone's next upgrade - definitely worth the money for me and my family - no more yelling that the internet is down!

Awesome Solution!

I live in a 55 year old brick ranch. I have always had signal issues with my router/modem being that it is located in one corner of my house. The Orbi mesh system was the easiest wire free solution for me. I have a three unit system, base unit and two satellites. I have them located in basically a triangular set up. I now have high speed 100/100 coverage all over my house. Before Orbi I had dead areas beyond one room over from my router. Worth noting is that I now have outside coverage all over my nearly acre lot. At the extreme outer areas my signal gives me 40/40 coverage. Very happy with this system and I highly recommend it!

Great Performance and Ease of Use

I had an old ac router that worked fine and had beamforming and all that but upon moving to a two story house there were several devices that would drop the connection a lot or slow down and it was very frustrating. As soon as I got the Orbi set up I was already seeing the benefits. Not a single one of my 10+ devices connected have slow periods or weird connection issues. It really solved so many of my problems. The best part about it actually is the fact that both bands have the same SSID and the router itself will determine which band to use for your device. It's so convenient and easy to use. I really am recommending it to everyone

Firmware Alert

Heads up to new owners. Be aware that the firmware may need to be updated before the system will work. I was about to return it until a friend, who is a tech person pointed this out to me. This should be noted by Netgear, for the novice who is tech challenged. From loading the app onto a mobile device to updating the firmware itself, instructions should be included in the package. Other than this, my ORBI AC3000 probably is the best WiFi system I have owned. Love the speed and the simple menu which even allows for speed test. It also has a clean futuristic design which compliments practically any surrounding in which it is placed.

Best router system ever!

This system is awesome! I bought this because I wasn't getting good consistent internet speeds with my n router and extender. I've tested the speeds with this system a lot and they are amazing! With over 16 devices in the house connected simultaneously (smart home lights, Alexas' , security system with cameras, roku's and much more) we now have consistent amazing speed no matter how many devices we are using. Well worth the price. Not to mention the signal is so strong it extends to about a whole acre of our property. Free parental controls are a bonus too. Will come in handy when the kids get older. Highly recommend this system.
