Huge Upgrade
on May 29, 2019

I finally upgraded my almost 10 year old Netgear router-this Orbi Router with 1 satellite is a huge improvement! It isn't perfect, but it is certainly more reliable Wi-Fi than previous Wi-Fi in our home. It reaches well into the yard. The set up was incredibly easy and the app is easy to use, I love being able to monitor usage. The only downfall is the Circle which is supposed to be part of the router, which would be amazing doesn't seem to work. The app for Circle is downloaded on my phone but won't connect to the Orbi, constantly is updating firmware, but gets no further. Overall would buy again, despite the high price.

Great speed and coverage!

I was very interested in purchasing mesh WiFi, and after much research, I settled on the Orbi. Best router purchase I have made. The speed is top-notch. I've been getting exactly what I pay for from my ISP. I also have great coverage throughout my home. My old router was not able to establish a proper connection with my WiFi-connected garage door opener as it was on the opposite side of my house. This router fixed that issue. The settings are also very intuitive and plentiful. Overall, I have no regrets so far with this purchase, and would highly recommend this product to those looking for a router with great speed and range.

Superior range, even in old houses

I live in a house considered to be part of a historic district, meaning that all modifications to the house have to be made in the same style as the house was built. What it comes down to is when I remodel, I have to use very thick layers of concrete on the outside. My last wireless network had difficulty reaching the mother-in-law suite. Since switching over to ORBI, I have been able to place the main router in the main house and a satellite in the MIL suite. The change has been nothing short of miraculous. The signal expands farther than it once did and even makes its way through very thick exterior walls. Tremendous product!

Very Well Pleased

We bought this system to replace an Apple AirPort Extreme who has served well, but was no longer doing the job consistently. So I started researching the Orbi mesh system because there were times parts of our house weren't being covered and consistent. I looked at the Linksys Velop, Google, and Orbi. I finally decided on Orbi because of ease of set up and the fast speeds. I couldn't believe the difference! It was easy to set up and the speed is great. I also have full coverage throughout my house. We have an older longer ranch house with a lot of rooms and walls, but so far no issues. I highly recommend this unit!

Wasn't expecting this!

So I bought this thinking it was going to be the same as my apple network with speed and coverage but boy was I wrong. I was having trouble with speed where I have my Apple TV connected and couldn't watch my digital movies from the cloud. I have gigabit service and was getting speeds less than 10mbps. I would have to restart the router occasionally which really hampered the movie experience. I bought this system and the setup was extremely easy; it took maybe 15 minutes and was very intuitive. The speed is ridiculously fast as well. Where I once had less than 10mbps I now have an average of 150mbps and I am very happy.

Fantastic home network solution

I had an excellent AC router but still got poor Wifi in one part of my house. I was using a repeater, then a Wifi access point using a power line adapter. No matter what I tried, I could get 40 or 50% of my speed compared to the Wifi speed next to my router.
I bought the Orbi with one satellite. Amazing speed through out my house, no dead spots, and no connecting to a different Wifi access point. We can now video steam without worrying about location in house and never gave to worry about our devices switching SSIDs. Family is happy with no more Wifi issues or needing to reboot a router. Highly recommend, you won't regret.

Fixed my problems
on May 29, 2019

I had a ok consumer grade non-mesh router placed in the basement of a three floor house (that's where the modem was). It didn't have the range I wanted, and tried using a power link solution. It would constantly drop connections (router and powerlink), range was spotty, bandwidth was spotty. My Orbi fixed all of that. It's been in use for about a week, and no problems since that time. The range is great, with the satelite, we get full bandwidth on all three floor, and improved speed in our garage. It was pricey, but worth it for not having to have to think about my internet issues anymore. I bought peace of mind with my Orbi.

Orbi RBK50

Had been using a Frontier FIOS router for cable TV and WiFi, and was experiencing iPhone XS Max going between LTE and WiFi as I got further away from the router. With the RBR50 in the family room and the Satellite in another room about 30' away, the iPhone gets a solid WiFi signal throughout the house and never goes into LTE mode. I also like the Orbi app. It allows me to see all the devices connected to the RBR50 and Satellite. Additional info: the RBR50 is connected to the Frontier router (router required to watch TV), via an ethernet cable and the RBR50 is in AP mode. The Frontier router's Wireless (WiFi) setting is set to OFF.
