Works and it's fast!

I have a two story home and I was tired of having a spotty connection. Got an Orbi with two satellites to get rid of connection woes.
Setup - Orbi in front of the house. One in the back part of the house and 3rd one in office upstairs.
Now I have wifi in all 8000 sqft of my property which is great when I am picking my destination on google maps in the driveway!
Bonus was the network connectivity between the satellite and the main router is really fast. I had two devices connected via ethernet and ran iperf to nearly max out the ethernet port (80%+) with my setup above. I highly suggest Orbi.

Just what we needed

Our Apple router has been performing poorly for months, but I have been hesitant to replace it, as I feared the network would be difficult for this non-techie person to set up. The process was actually quick and easily managed. I chose to set up with a desktop rather than a phone app. Both the router and the satellite were up and running within 30 minutes, though it did take a couple of attempts to sync the satellite. Since I used the same name and password of the previous network, all other computers were able to login immediately. We did have to reset the network on our Visio tv. No more gaps in WiFi!

Way beyond expectations

Living in a 3000+ SqFt single story ranch WiFi was spotty to say the least. After lots of research I decided to pull the trigger on the Orbi. Price point is a little higher than some mesh systems on the market, but you get what you pay for. Setup was simple and when it came on line, i was blown away! There is not a section of my house that I don't get 130Mbps+ of download speed. All my media is streaming, and half are connected wireless. This system rocks! I can even go to my mailbox 180' from the house and have full signal. So far I cant find a negative thing to say about the system. Highly recommend.

The Range I've Always Wanted!

I've tolerated a weak WiFi signal for a long time, thinking that the Orbi and other mesh network systems were overly expensive. I finally caved and I'm glad I did, as the performance exceeds my expectations.
WiFi connections to the satellite are incredibly fast, transferring at practically the same speed as a wired connection. I have 100/10 mbps internet, and speed tests when connected to the satellite WiFi can exceed those numbers, and maintain a pint of 11ms.
The inclusion of ethernet ports on the satellite is great, and I'd be perfectly comfortable treating that as stable as a wired connection.

My best friend Orbi

I was always an Apple router user until we moved into our new home. I purchased five WiFi extenders from Apple and nothing worked I would have service in one room and the rest of the house wasn't working at all. I went to the store and the gentleman recommended the Orbi to me and told me to get an additional satellite at first I was hesitant as I was faithful to Apple and their products but then I caved I caved in an I'm happy I did. The Orbi works like a charm I now have WiFi wherever I need it. I am finally able to enjoy all of my devices. Thank you netgear for this wonderful creation named Orbi.

Great system for difficult coverage areas
on May 29, 2019

Upgraded from an older router that worked decently if you were close to it, but we wanted wifi coverage in the basement, upstairs and outside. Parts of the house have fairly thick brick walls, and while the home isn't huge, it makes it hard to get a decent signal in some parts. I bought this mainly for the ethernet backhaul capability, and it works great. The router and satellite don't have a great wifi connection to each other because of the building material, but when connected by ethernet, I am seeing great coverage in the whole home that is 2-3 times as fast as my previous router. Worth the cost.

Easy Setup, Great Coverage
on May 29, 2019

I decided to upgrade to a mesh network system during a hectic relocation to a new home. I didn't want a lot of hassle - just easy setup so that I could check this item off and move to the next item on my todo list. I did a good bit of investigation of wireless network systems while planning my move, and chose this system. It did not disappoint. Setup was a breeze. It allows multiple options for setup for those of us who are starting up all of our communication system components from scratch. The system also provides consistent, reliable coverage to my home. I'm very happy that I chose this system.

Excellent Coverage

This is the first mesh system. My home is an H one story 3900 sf. The system is 2 Orbi (Router + satellite)/ Coverage is excellent throughout the house and back patio. Set-up was easy. Having three ethernet ports was a must as I have a central area for several devices and they can be wire connected right at the router. The software could be better as the network map only shows the router and satellite. Additionally, one needs to dig the IP addresses of each connected device and then edit the entries for each device with a descriptive name. I have been running the system for 5 days and so far so wonderful.
