Orbi awesome

I have been looking for a mesh network router for some while due to issues in our Home with dead spots and patchy speeds throughout the home.
I was sceptical how good Orbi would be but I am absolutely blown away by the speeds. We live in a 4200 sq ft home and the router sits in basement and hub on 1st floor. I used to get 10 mb if I was lucky on the top floor. Now we get consistency and speeds of 400 mb amazing and wouldn't go back to a standard router set up again

The Perfect Solution

I have been fighting with other WiFi systems for the past 5 years. Absolutely nothing compares to Orbi. Simple to set up, ridiculously fast data transfer, stable mesh network, and tons of options. If there is anything out there that's better - it's still being developed. Highly recommend this system to anyone tired of dealing with spotty, inconsistent networks with weak coverage and complex configuration requirements. You will only regret not getting this sooner!

Excellent extended coverage

We received the Orbi RBK50 system as a Christmas gift from our daughter, who was concerned that our previous router did not reach parts of our home, including a detached guest house. We have a 5,000+ s.f. home with thick concrete walls so getting full coverage is a challenge. The new Orbi system covers the entire house, the guest casitas, and much of the outdoor living space. Streaming quality is excellent on TVs, Roku, Amazon Fire TV stick, and other connected devices.

Worked perfectly.

We have a 100 year old two story house with plaster walls. Regular wifi was not able to work even with several boosters. Orbit with two satellites was able to provide strong coverage for the entire house and the detached garage apartment and the whole yard! It is a game changer. We can stream movies that we never could before and not get dropped constantly from the internet. It also works with one password and you don't have to log into whatever booster is closest to you.

Great WiFi System

Was skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but have nothing negative to say about this system so far. Super easy to setup and get started. My WiFi speeds went from 30-50mb/s on mobile devices to 100-120mb/s. Wired gaming connections are reliable and as fast as a true wired connection which I've always done in the past. I have one router and one satellite in a 2800sqft home with the modem and satellite on opposite ends of the house (~80 feet) and on different floors

Easy Install, Great Performance

I've been in IT for nearly 40 years, so I get called to fix other's network and PC issues. So when I got a call from a friend whose Ethernet over Power network was running slow (< 2Mbps), I decided to replace it with the Netgear Orbi. Easy installation, very good security, and better throughput than the powerline solution. With the added benefit of better WiFi throughout the house. And the Ethernet hub built in to the satellite eliminated extra hardware in the home office.

Met high expectations

I read a half dozen comparisons among leading mesh products before targeting Orbi. It was, indeed, easy to set up and delivers the promised strong signal, eliminating the annoying dead spots that comprised about a third of the house. Thanks to the ports on the Orbi satellite it is physically connected to a Smart TV enabling the TV's Internet features that were previously inaccessible and eliminating the need to buy a wireless adapter. Also, my wife likes the Orbi design.

I needed extended range and got it

Although I've been happy with my Airport Time Capsule, I've added smart home devices throughout my home and needed extended range. So I bought the package that includes one router and two satellites. My smart devices are now working more reliably. The only part of the house that doesn't get a strong signal has foiled sheathing. Apparently no wifi is capable of penetrating the aluminum vapor barrier. The Orbi system is pricey, but seems to be worth it. Setup was simple.
