I purchased the HP Chromebook 14 about a week ago and while it was delivered earlier than expected (which is a plus), and its a gorgeous laptop (I got the all white one), depending on what surface it’s on, it tends to overheat very fast. It’s also a tad difficult when trying to highlight text to copy and paste. I recommend buying an external mouse for that. Overall, it’s a decent laptop and does exactly what I need it for, which is operating the backend of my businesses, so until I get something better, this will do. The price should be reduced however.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is exactly what I wanted. I only wanted something I could have internet access to and streaming abilities, which it is perfect for. I remember reading some reviews saying that the screen was smaller than they expected, but it is the perfect size.

The Chromebook is light weight, and a clean stylish white color. The screen is large enough to view easily. The camera works great. We are making video calls and communicating with the grandkids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like HP products, I try to stick with HP. I got this chrome book and a new printer 2700. I knew what I was getting with a chrome book, I will not complain about software, Chrome OS environment. I think the track pad could be better, old HP laptop has a better track pad. But getting a wireless mouse really helps with that issue. It gets a little warm but not as much as everyone says. I got a laptop cooler pad just in case. My only concern is that the screen has this ripple effect when the screen is moved, closing it or opening it. One thing that worried me at first is when I go on reddit, the system crashes. It might just be a memory thing because their can dozens of videos trying to load even if you are not clicking on it. If you move the mouse over the video, everything will crash. It seems to work fine on youtube, tubi. While it still early, so far it fine for my web surfing.
