Typing on this unit sucks. Too much plastic. Things move too much on the screen. It is powerful. I needed a Lap ASAP. This was the only one available at the time of purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since I've purchased my newest HP laptop, I've loved it! I've never had problems and I've always had amazing speed, storage, production with my laptop.
Nice bang for buck and features to match the needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this laptop for my son who's just starting college. Wasn't actually looking for a gaming system, but when doing all the comparing and looking at features and budget this is the machine we landed on. Having the option to start with a foundation configuration, then tweak to adjust some of the options when making the purchase is especially nice. I was always frustrated with canned systems offered, regardless of manufacturer, and trying to find one that matched what you wanted. Can't justify a full 5 stars since we've had the machine only a week. If it holds up for the duration, I would then give it a full 5 stars.
New Laptop is ok. I bought the Gaming Pavillion but not for gaming as I wanted the dual fans for keeping laptop drive cool for long work hours typing in apps. I owned a previous Pavilion DV6 from around 2010. The new laptop has much sharper edges and when laying down on the couch or bed the edge cuts into your wrists and/or palm. Not sure why HP has such sharp edges around it. The older laptop was rounded and more smooth. It was MUCH BETTER. New laptop has B&O speaker and are a real improvement over old laptop. New nice 4000k screen is very nice along with the larger hardrive. It has all the ports you need for HDMI and for the etrxas you need like for adding wireless mouse. HP could use the extra capacity battery with curved edge as this help tilt the laptop towards you and provide much more battery time than the standard battery. The lighted white keyboard was my pick over green keys and is well lite just like my old Pavilion. Overall its a good laptop except foe the sharp edges that really are a big deal if you plan on gaming or typing laying down. Hope HP send this review to their designers for improvement...
It is the best CPU and Graphic card u can buy in affordable cost, only the fabric of the latptop is plastic and some way weak, but it is good for its price. overall it is a very good laptop
