Poor design
on March 8, 2022

Bought this range about a month ago and it works well but their is a big design flaw. In the gap between the top of the oven door and below the door frame are two 8 inch rubber/silicon strips. One for the right and one for the left. There is a gap in the middle since they don't meet. The problem with the strips is they are not attached well to the oven. They are attached by some metal clips and pull out rather easily. We had the original ones replaced since we accidentally damaged them. The replacements are loose and when the oven door closes the strips are pulled back and some of the clips are close to being pulled out. I called Frigidaire and the customer service rep said they were important for providing insulation. The tech who serviced the range couldn't see a practical purpose for them. I just don't get why a supposedly important part is attached so poorly. It is not robust at all. I am very seriously thinking of returning the unit to where I purchased it. Other than that the unit seems to work fine. But I don't want to be replacing those strips when the range is not under warranty. I would recommend people to buy a range without those strips. It is sad that this one cheap part ruins an otherwise fine range. I have attached some photos of the strips. You can see how loose the one is with the door open. And then how much the closed door pushes the strips back.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
Yes, the strips around the door do play an important role in insulation for your range. We will be sure to share your feedback with our product and design team for future production models and customer satisfaction. ~Courtney

Worst puchase ever

Our old GE profile oven died just softer Xmas so we needed a new gas stove. Had heard about the air fryer stove so bought it. Tried the air fryer mode and so much smoke all fire alarms went off.we then bought a Thor 600 com range vent.still with that mode alarms go off. We have given up on air fry mode even though that is why we bought it. Tried wings again in regular oven mode and alarms still go off. This has never happened with any other ovens we have had over a 45 year period. It is the worst oven we have ever had and I want it returned

Hi, Garyb!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and share your concerns with us. A tip that can alleviate your smoking matter is placing the air fry tray on the third bottom rack and a cookie sheet on the last rack underneath.

This keeps drips and crumbs from landing on the oven bottom, where they can burn and create smoke. For additional protection, place some foil-lined parchment paper on the baking sheet. Parchment paper traps oil, which also keeps it from smoking.

If the tips do not resolve your concerns, please reach out to us at 1-800-265-8352 Monday-Friday 8:30 am-8 pm EST.

Kindly,
Ciara

Air fry feature not designed well

Excellent stove except the air fry feature. It causes some much smoke in the house even with skinless boneless chicken breasts. The tray is a pain plus you have to line a cookie sheet with tin foil to catch the drips but the drips still happen on the window when putting the food in and out of the stove. Major pain to use!

Hi, Cookingmom!

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're sorry to hear you're having issues with the oven smoking during air fry. We recommend that the oven be run for about 30-60 minutes at 400+F when you first bring it home, to burn off any leftover residue from manufacture or storage. It is normal for the oven to smoke during this time. Without this step, residue may begin burning off when reaching high temperatures during air fry. Try burning off the excess before using the oven again. If you still encounter smoking issues, please reach out to us at 1-800-265-8352 Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 8pm EST so we can help!

Best,
Ashton

Great stove, horrible safety stove knobs!
on December 21, 2020

We bought this stove as an upgrade instead of what the builder was offering us. I have had gas stoves in the past the knobs on this stove are horrible just passing and the slightest touch turns on the gas!!! We have had several incidents of this since purchasing this stove! We have gone into the store and checked out the knobs seems like ours is extremely lose but we have no clue who to contact! This stove other wise is good but for this safety feature and looseness of knobs spend your money elsewhere or on a different brand this one isn’t worth it!

Bought this product and within two weeks the right side of the stove top stopped working. Almost three months later we are still waiting for the part to fix this obvious factory defect.

Poor Purchase
on January 19, 2021
Posted by: WLGBayfield
Have had this range now for a year & am really sorry I purchased this one. I went with the induction because I wanted the "quick heat" stove top. Yes, it DEFINITELY heats up super quick, almost too quick. If you're not watching it, it will suddenly be overflowing everywhere and flooding the cooktop! Also, I 100% agree with others who have reviewed that the elements are uneven cooking. The very centre of the element gets so hot, that unless you are constantly stirring, it will burn/stick while the outer edges of the pan are not barely browning the food. Very Poor! The oven takes a long time to preheat & I find the airfry setting pointless for various reasons. There are many more reasons why I do not like this range, but I'm stuck with it now. Never again will I buy an induction range.
