Takes 30 min to boil water!

We bought this model a year ago, and I'm noticing that it's taking longer than usual to boil water, decided to time it, and it takes 30 min to bring 2 quarts to a boil, very unhappy about it, I cook A few times a day and it's starting to get frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a change!

This unit replaced an older drop in model. The retrofit wasn’t fun but the finished result is amazing.
GE Cafe has brought new technology to an old fixture in kitchens. The dual ovens is a great feature. The upper oven delivers uniform heat and great results. Before we had to “guess & check” because the recommended cook times never applied to us. Before GE our biscuits would be brown on one side or the bottom and pasty white on the top. With GE Cafe we get consistently great biscuits. Cant ask for more.
Haven’t used the lower oven temperature probe yet but what a nice feature. No more fearing overcooked standing rib roast!
The power boil feature on the glass top works well. We like old fashioned percolator coffee. On the old stove getting the water to a boil took a bit bit once there it was impossible to get the eye to hold a temp below boil. Now, we turn it up the coffee comes to a quick boil and we then drop and hold the temp to whatever we like.
Clean up is easy and the stainless finish matched our other appliances.
COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Oven works but stovetop does not work. Has this stove less than a year.

Not impressed

This appliance was purchased early September and installed as a surprise for me on the 13th. I was very exited to try it out but followed directions and heated both ovens to 350 and let them “burn off” any residue from assembly. Unfortunately the cooling fan was loud and the metal vent piece on top is vibrating and sending out annoying tones. This noise can be adjusted simply by pressing on the top vent. Service man was out within the week and we are to have a new fan and vent installed October 1. Let’s hope this takes care of the noise. I will follow up after the service to let you all know the outcome

I bought this product and to my surprise, it would not work. After my contractor and electrician spoke to GE , the warranty carrrier, it was decided that I need a new control panel. To boot, I have to wait 2 wks before they can even look at it... bad business. Keep your money with product, that way you won’t get beat.

Convenient and easy to operate

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago and set up was super easy. I’m 61 years old and by no means a computer wizard. GE Cafe made it awesome. Well built and sturdy. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for the meals coming out of and off this range
