Bosch 800 Series

Best investment we made with our recent kitchen remodel. Went from having a gas range these last 25 years to the Bosch 800. Researched other brands but always went back for another look at the Bosch. Besides even cooking it is extremely easy to clean and extremely efficient. Before when baking the room would get uncomfortably hot from all the heat loss but now room stays cool and heat stays where it belongs,, in the oven. Can't say enough about the Bosch 800.

Wonderful Appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this induction range as part of a larger kitchen remodel and have not regretted the choice for a moment. So many useful features to explore and easy to keep clean. Our single complaint is the alignment of burners - the largest burner crowds the surrounding burners - and we wish there were 2 medium burners instead of 2 small burners. The induction burners are amazing and more responsive than our old gas stove. We like the safety features as well which will enable us to better age in place.

Poor burner layout

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range is great except that the burner layout is too cramped by not being in the corners and the small burners are too small. I also find the controls for the cooktop to be a bit hard to activate with pressure. I would prefer an up/down control for each burner independently rather than the way they have designed this with one level selector and having to first select the burner to change the level on. Oven features are great and well thought out but I would not recommend this to a friend based on the cooktop design.

Great appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the induction stovetop. It is easy to clean versus our older stove. And the oven works well also. It also gives more control over the heat. It can be a little challenging to find the right spot to place the pot, but I just need to be attentive to that and it is not a big problem.ut perhaps Bosch can work on making that easier. This range has slightly less depth than other ranges I saw, which was great for us because it fit in nicely to replace my drop-in range. It looks very cool also. The overlap is great for keeping crumbs from falling down the side.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's a WOW!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded to this gem when buying a new range. Decided to try induction cooktop and didn't realize what a change that would be. All new pots/pans were necessary and cooking is different. So after 40+ years of cooking this old dog is learning new tricks. Haven't experimented with the convection oven or warming drawer, but look forward to learning more and using them in the coming months.

Oven doesn’t heat properly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this oven for a second home. Our first home has aGE induction cooktop that we love. Burners do not seem as responsive on the Bosch. Design of surface makes it difficult to find the burner area. Maluntion have occurred. Oven is running about 50 degrees cold. Because it is a second home, we cannot receive service for four months. Our first month of ownership was a dismal disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor layout for burners

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several Bosch appliances and have always found them well designed and durable. Sadly the 800 series induction range has a major flaw in the burner design and layout. The small burners are too small to evenly heat anything but very small pots and the large burners are too close together making it hard to cook with larger pots. There is a big empty space on the back right side where one of the larger burners should be. If I could return the unit after 6 days of use I would as now I am stuck with an expensive range that I don’t like. I kick myself for trusting Bosch to get this right like they did with the dual fuel range we replaced with this model but now I know they make some serious design errors from time to time. Don’t buy this range unless you cook all in small pots and pans.
