Absolutely love the Bosch 800 Series Dual Fuel Slide-In Range. Previously, had a 22-year-old Thermador dual fuel and thought that was great, but the Bosch 800 Series is so far superior in every way. (I could do without the fifth gas burner and warming drawer.) It is actually possible to simmer with gas and the oven settings cover a multitude of functions. It is too bad I will never do the range justice since it is way beyond my epicurean abilities. However, I am thrilled with my purchase and it looks so nice in my kitchen.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are satisfed with our new Bosch range but think there could be some improvements. (1) The "pre-heat display is small and not informative. It woud be much better if it displayed the current temperature and the desired temerature like the temperature probe mode does. (2) The buzzer could be louder and have a plesenter tone. (3) The flame could be ported (like our previous range) so that it didn't heat the grill and there would be less need to wait for the grill to cool down.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this stove from an appliance discounter for a great price. It's a nice stove with lots of features. I love the overhang on countertop that prevents bits of food falling between stove and counter. Negative was needing an electrician to redo electrical as this stove was different from our Kitchenaid. Kitchen aid was no different from Dacor our original range. Another smal issue. This 30 inch range fit perfectly except there were two screws on sides toward the front that stuck out and prevented stove from being fully pushed back into space. I had them removed and then it slid back fine. Need flathead screws there.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new stove! It is far superior to the one by another maker that we needed to replace when two of the four burners stopped working. My Bosch is easy to clean since the area around the burners Is stainless steel. Having five burners means that I can cook several things at the same time, and the different sizes of the burners means that I can find the right cooking temperature for each. The oven is spacious, and the racks slide smoothly. It looks good in my kitchen, too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have received two injuries from my new Bosch range because of dangerous design flaws. While cooking at the range I moved to the right to reach my sink. The warming drawer had opened (I must have inadvertently tapped it) and I tripped over it. I bruised my knees and cut my arm on the sharp edge of the drawer. I now have it duct taped shut!
My second injury was a serious burn received by leaning on the metal edge located at the top right corner of the cooktop. If a child accidentally touched his or her finger to the corner they would also receive a bad burn.
My third complaint is while cooking if you barely lean against the control panel it turns them on. Although it is not dangerous it is very annoying.
For these reasons, I am extremely disappointed with the range and would not recommend it to anyone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have really only used this for 3 weeks (we were away). The oven works really well. Some of the burners don't seem to have much of a range of flame compared to their dials. (Maybe we need a service person to check this out). Also, if you use a small pan on the small burners, the grates seem to be too tall and it takes a long time to bring water to a boil. The large hot burners are hot!
