[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lightweight steamer is such a time-saver because it’s easy to refill and heats up quickly. I also find that it doesn’t leak like some of the other steamers I’ve had in the past which is great.

Can't get all the water out

The steamer is effective and easy to use. However impossible to get all the water out prior to storage due to the shape of the container. I am afraid it will smell moldy next time I use it. B&D needs to fix this

Thank you for offering your feedback regarding your Black+Decker HGS200. I’m sorry to hear about your frustration with getting all of the water out of the reservoir. It is unnecessary to completely empty the steamer of water if storing for a few days. The steamer was designed in such a way that limits airborne mold spore access to the interior of the water tank, so when clean water is used mold is unlikely to grow inside the tank. If the steamer will be stored unused for an extended period, manually empty the water tank, then plug in and turn on the appliance, and steam the remaining water out. After emptying the tank, it should take only around 30 seconds to steam out the small amount of remaining water. Great Quality and Features!

This product has the excellent quality that I have come to associate with the brand name Black and Decker. I used the delicate fabric frame for a rayon dress with soft pleats and it achieved the results that I wanted. I look forward to using this steamer with the upholstery frame for my drapes. Bottomline: Recommend this product as a GO TO for a hand steamer!

Right out of the box it is not working. I followed all the directions to a T but the iron is not producing any steam.

Perfect for quilters

I bought this for my wife to use in her quilting studio. She steams bits of fabric and quilt squares on an almost daily basis, but it's usually small jobs where it's just not convenient to drag out a large steamer.
This handheld steamer is lightweight, heats up quickly and has an auto-off feature which is a nice feature. It doesn't require a lot of space and is ready right there when and where she needs it. It's working out really well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had always been skeptical of the handheld steamers as being to heavy to hold and the quality of getting the wrinkles out of clothes just by pressing a button with steam coming out. But I was wrong it was light to use my shirts/pants came out wrinkle free no damage to the material,the heat up time was fast it has a long no tangle free cord, easy to fill water tank I did not have to keep refilling it comes with 3 attachments for different fabric uses.The B&D advanced handheld steamer is a PLUS! and will be on my list as gifts for family and friends.
I would recommend this to a friend!
