Bought a few of these docks for the office. I tried to get the doc to work with my X1 Extreme laptop, but it disconnects and flickers every once in a while. I followed many support documents on how to upgrade the firmware and install the correct drivers, it does not flicker as often anymore, but once in every 30 minutes or so it would flicker and i'd have to resize all my desktop items and rearrange my windows. this dock works fine with my T490 laotop. and does not work with my T470S laptop. It also comes with a 135 watt charger which is not powerful enough for my laptop to quick charge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I managed to get this working with 3 screens. One at 2k and 2x 1080p. I hooked them up using 2 HDMI and 1 display port (however this was just a DP to HDMI adapter) so all 3 screens are technically running hdmi. Works great, really fast.
Was suggested for my C790 but does not support it.

I bought 2 of these units but was unable to get either of them working reliably. The notebook I was trying them with was a Lenovo X1 Extreme. The peripherals included 2 x 4K monitors connecting via the 2 display ports on the unit, an ethernet connection and a USB transmitter for mouse and keyboard. The unit connected and disconnected from the peripherals every few seconds. I contacted technical support but they didn't seem to have any specific training or access to a knowledge base any different to what I was already finding on the internet. I'm a software developer so have technical skills but using my own research online was still unable to come up with any solution. In the end I returned the notebook and the docking station.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

None of the USB ports seem to work...can't figure out why.
