I have all the lancers that have come out since Gears2 and this is the best! Finally having one with sound in a dream come true! Speakers could be louder but the effects are spot on. Love it!

The lancer looks great lets just get that out of the way and the size of the gun is perfect. BUT the gun feels way too cheap and light, similar to a dollar store plastic gun. The red colour isnt as dark as the picture. The chainsaw lever feels pretty fragile and not to mention the operation is backwards. The sound quality of the speaker are laughable, also a sound effect for opening and closing the magazine compartment should be an obvious feature but it is absent. The non existent LED for the holographic sight is disappointing, and the circular LED above the magazine which is supposed to rotate does not. I strongly believe that this product isnt worth its purchase price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything is well replicated, eg: lights, sounds everything.
But I do have a couple of questions.
1./ Are these Replica Lancers classified as Limited Edition?
2./ How many of the Replica Lancers were made?

The Ultimate Lancer Package!

I'll start by saying that I have the Gears 2 Lancer, had the Gears 3 Retro Lancer but gave it to my cousin because Gamestop couldn't fulfill his order on the Retro, and I never even knew about the Gears 4 Lancer until it was too late (did see reviews of it later).
The Gears 5 Lancer is the ultimate version of all of them. Finally everything is in ONE package. The Gears 2 Lancer had chainsaw noises (if you can call them that), the Gears 3 Retro Lancer had firing noises, and the Gears 4 Lancer had lights. The Gears 5 Lancer has all of these things.
The lights and sounds are activated by flipping the safety switch on the rifle. There are 6 blue lights ( 3 on both sides). You can't activate the sounds without moving the switch.
The firing noises actually sound like the ones in the game, and there are two firing noises for either a single shot (squeeze trigger and let go), and full auto (hold the trigger down). The volume on the single shot is great, but the full auto could be louder.
The chainsaw actually sounds good. You unfold the lever and slide it towards the front of the rifle to rev it. You pull it back to the base to make a chainsaw cutting noise, and fold the handle down to turn it off.
The only real issue I had was that I felt the instructions were not detailed enough. They are not clear about how to actually remove the battery compartment, and it turns out that there are two more screws (after the first two) that you remove. The instructions just say to remove the compartment, but don't show it in detail.
I did contact PDP Customer Service, and they were great. They helped me with the issues I had with the instructions and some other ones related to my accidental order of a second Lancer. Really really good CS from PDP!
There are also some really cool things with the Lancer.
1) The grip near the trigger has some rubberized parts. Really adds to the comfort of the grip.
2) The charging handle, and mag release switch are movable. These are things they didn't have to do, but really add to the piece. The magazine can be removed like on the Gears 2 and 4 Lancers.
3) You get a code for the weapon in Gears 5.
I would say get this one! This blows the previous prop Lancers away.

I'm a huge collector so adding this to my collection is a must! It's highly detailed and even though it's made out of plastic, it still has a bit of a weight to it. The chainsaw part doesn't move at all but it does have the authentic gun and chainsaw sounds from the game that the lancer makes and it lights up as well. Beautiful paint job and it's perfect for cos-players!

I had the gold lancer and I loved it but the gold was too bland. I got this so I could have a more realistic lancer. The color and geometry is really good. The chainsaw charging handle is pretty flimsy. The worst part is def the silver weathering. There are huge obvious brush strokes and pieces completely missing weathering. Some pieces have spot on weathering but the bad pieces catch your eye first.
