It worked!!!

Bought the Thermacell for our cottage by the lake vacation.
Wanted to not get eaten alive while sitting at night by the fire roasting
Marshmallows. When we first went out and sat by the fire I could
Hear the mosquitoes bussing around my head and I got bit so
We went inside and brought the Thermacell outside. It was not
A windy night. A mosquito tried to bite my husband on his head but
The Thermacell hadn’t been on for 15 minutes yet. After that we
Sat by the fire for about an hour and not a mosquitos around! So
Far we are impressed! Can’t wait to try it at home now on our deck!
Hopefully our evening wasn’t a fluke. If it works just as good at home we
will be buying more and telling all our friends!

Great product.... until the mosquitoes came out!
Had product on and sitting on table in front of me for an hour prior to mosquitoes coming out, when they came out, inhaled to go in!

Is this thing on???

I’m not sure if my device is a total lemon or if there’s a major design flaw, but I can’t figure out if it’s turned on. It’s VERY frustrating. The “on” button light just blinks a few times when you press the button. It doesn’t stay lit to indicate that it’s on. And since there’s no odor or sounds, it’s hard to know if it’s actually on. I’ve charged it up twice just in case there’s a battery issue - doesn’t seem to help. I’ve even called customer service, and the rep was nice, but all he could do was refer to the lousy manual which is not very helpful. Simple question: if the device is on, should there be an indicator light on?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent product

Unlike the chemical sprays that destroy all living insects, bugs and worms, the Radius emits a harmless invisible screen that repels mosquitoes and flies from your immediate area. This allows us to sit bug free on our porch but still enjoy the many birds that feed off small bugs and other beneficial insects in our lawn. I also do not worry about my grandkids playing in the residue left from the harsh and potentially dangerous chemicals applied with the other products on the market. Thermocell Radius is an effective, easy to use mosquito repellant that I can safely use around my home without upsetting the natural ecology.

I haven’t been able to sit in my poolside area for years because of mosquitos...I am now enjoying my 3rd night on the patio...mosquito free! I’m a fan!!!!

Great Mosquito Repeller

I have used Thermacell products for years and have been very satisfied with each and everyone. I bought the Radius zone when they first come out and really like the convenience and longevity of the refills. I wish you could buy the repellent mats only as a refill kit and they were a little cheaper. If they were cheaper I would use them much more than I do. I live in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida and the mosquitos are terrible, but approximately 15 minutes after firing up a couple of my Thermacell units, they’re gone. They run the mosquitos away and are the best repellent device I’ve ever found.

Awesome Product!

I used the Radius on a 4 days paddling trip in the Boundary Waters and the mosquito population was out of control. After settling into camp at night I was so happy I brought this device along. Within 10-15 minutes of turning it on there were no mosquitoes to be found.
A nice feature about this product is the length of time the cartridges last and the fact it is rechargeable.I only used one cartridge over 4 days and was able to recharge with a backup cell phone battery pack with the USB.
Do not make a trip anywhere you know there might be mosquitoes without one of these devices!

No more running out of fuel!

I first got the Thermcell portable repeller. It's wonderful, but I keep forgetting to turn it off and so, I run out of fuel all the time. Because this is rechargeable, that problem is solved. Additionally, you can program it to where it automatically turns itself off, so you don't run out of refills either. I was amazed by how small it is, but it is totally effective. I have a dog who knows how to open the sliding door to let herself outside. Unfortunately, I can't train her to close it behind her. As a result, she lets mosquitoes into our family room. It got so bad that I just stopped going in there. Now, all i have to do is have the Radius working and I can enjoy the family room again.
