The device does reduce most of the mosquitos, but a few are not to be deterred! Despite not being 100% effective, I highly recommend it, don't know of anything better. I wish it had a light to let me know when battery is low. Bummer to have it die in the middle of a gathering.

I bought this for our camping trip where we were told has lots of mosquitoes. I enjoy that I can recharge the unit as needed and that I can use it while charging. I’m not sure how to handle windy days. I would recommend this product. It really does make a difference. My next purchase is the portable unit. I gave it a 4 star because refills are expensive and charge does not last long.

Heavy smoke from wildfires in the Pacific Northwest kept us indoors for a couple of weeks, but once that cleared, we've been very happy with the effectiveness of the device. I'm going to order another for our daughter, who is a mosquito magnet. I would definitely recommend it to friends with the caveat (from Thermacell) that it works best in calm air.
