Can’t get it to work properly

I charged it and attempted to use it for the first time. Had trouble getting it to stay on. The light around the power button would flicker on and off then turn off completely. After about an hour or trying to turn it on it finally stayed one but died after only 2 hours. For the 2 hours it was on it did repel the mosquitoes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello! Here are some helpful tips for get your Radius working properly! You can always contact us at service@thermacell.net or 1-866-753-3837 with questions or concerns.
1) When using Radius, always confirm that the power light is on, that the refill cartridge has liquid remaining/is not empty, and that the refill is inserted properly into the repeller
2) Note that while the Radius is in “lock” mode, it won’t turn the heater on and won’t repel mosquitoes. See product instructions for lock mode instructions.
3) Depending on conditions, allow the repeller to run for up to 10 minutes to build up the zone of protection.

I had to wait for a little while to truly test these units on a camping trip. I bought two to get more coverage area. Mosquitos where thick in Northern Wisconsin and these only cut them down by roughly 50%. I was hoping for a bit more effectiveness but will take what I can get and use a little bit less bug spray, but the spray still is needed. Wish the battery life were a little longer too.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It works!

My wife cannt be outside without getting bit by mosquitoes. She is an attractor for mosquitoes. Unable to enjoy our patio decided to buy this repellent. She is so happy now to be able to enjoy the outdoors and not worry about being bitten.

I bought this direct from Thermacell. It works great. The only issue I have is they say it comes with a 12 hour refill. That’s not true. It comes with an initial 12 hour cartridge but no refill. I had to go buy a seperate refill which I wasn’t planning on since I thought it came with a total of two cartridges.

Deters mosquitos

I use this device when gardening. It performs as promised. I am able to garden without being bothered by or even hearing mosquitos.

Works but....

After the initial 10 minutes it takes to “clear” the area, it seems to work well. My middle of the road rating is because the “2 hour auto shut off” is not clear and easy to use and because of this I WASTED an entire fluid container. I’m afraid the refill costs for a season will be extremely high.
