I bought the Thermacell Radius after a neighbor recommended their products. I debated between the Patio Shield and Radius, but went with the Radius because of the rechargeable battery. I followed the instructions, charged the unit for 6 hours, and let the unit run for 15-20 minutes on the patio. Other than the light on there was no sign the unit was on, within minutes we were forced inside because the mosquitoes were horrible. I really wanted this product to work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought an original (handheld) Thermacell a couple of years ago after having read about the Radiua v1, but not wanting to commit the full retail price. After a couple of successful seasons, i decided to bite the bullet and pop for the Radius and was pleasantly surprised to see my foot-dragging meant v2 was now available. Every bit as useful as my original with the added bonus of no butane cartridges and far less frequent changes to rhe odor-producing moiety. Like it alot!

I have several Radius that I’ve used regularly for years. They work perfectly and give us a mosquito free sitting area on our porch. We just have to turn the Radius on 10 minutes before we intend to be on the porch.

I am sorry to say I am not very impressed with your product! It works but only for a short period of time! Does not keep mosquitos away for more than an hour! I bought it to last through a dinner outside and I am sad that it does not last that long!

Works Great When It Works!

I bought our first Radius early last summer and it worked great; friends remarked on how there were no bugs around every time we used it. This summer I purchased a second Radius to cover more area and thank goodness I did, because the old one stopped working. Again, works great while it works but maybe plan on buying a new one each season which is a shame because they are not inexpensive devices.
