Though it does the job, it's super heavy and not quite as life-friendly as my lenovo. From biggest issues to least for me:
1) It will not charge my phone unless the dock is also plugged into my laptop -- was never a problem with my lenovo 2) The laptop does not charge unless I wiggle the cord just so -- It was this way out of the box. It won't light up at the connection unless I finesse it. 3) The male piece that plugs into the laptop is completely different than the one of the charger that came with the computer -- I wish they'd choose one and saved that extra space in my laptop for an extra USB port 4) It can damage the cord where it's plugged in due to weight if it dangles from the computer -- not best practice, I know, but I'm so used to being able to plug my lenovo into its doc and use if from the couch. If it ever slid from the table because I moved without minding the cord length (life happens) it's light enough to not cause damage. Then again, this has more memory and requires a more robust dock than my lenovo, so perhaps it comes with the territory.
I like my old style docking station better. I don't think the connection to the laptop will hold up for seven years and there are fewer ports so I can't use my speakers anymore.
I've been using the Dell Dock- WD19 130 PD for about three weeks now and it is a great improvement over my old E-Series docking station. I really like the flexibility of being able to move my laptop around on my desk freely while it is attached to the docking station with a single cable.
