I went to purchase a new camera system for my house and looked at many brands and price point. I was replacing a Night Owl System that I owned for ten years. The old Night Owl System served me well so I thought why not buy Night Owl again and get and upgraded unit, it did prove to be very dependable over the years. I purchased the C5XFR2l-161-B and wow, just wow. The cameras technology had advanced very well over the years. The cameras see well into the darkness and at High Definition. New feature like Facial Recognition and LED Spot Lights are just to name a few. I am loving the 2tb Hard Drive DVR with plenty of storage capabilities. Mobil app for remote online viewing and very easy to use installation instructions. Anyone who owns Night Owls will tell you they love them. I Highly Recommend this system.

this system is not set up to work with a remote have to ge up and walk over and use the mouse

The system comes with a wired USB mouse, but you can also use a wireless mouse with dongle. Thank you for choosing Night Owl!

Night Owl is definitely one of the best out there. The system is top notch and is my 3rd one I will be buying, as I just wanted better resolution. My old systems are still going strong after 4 years and have never had a problem with them. The only thing I do not like about this system, is that on my previous one, you could search all the cameras at once for motion events. It made playback very easy as this system really only has 2 options. Would be nice to see an update for that, but still a great system.
