First off, otterbox’s cases are and have always been top quality for providing protection for your device. However the pop socket IMO doesn’t quite work well with my iPhone XS. I can only imagine it with bigger phones. When using it in landscape mode, placing it on a flat surface, it drops. Even if I angle it to possibly create a larger surface area to stabilize, it falls. Charging: 50/50 on a Qi charger. I have to remove the socket. Which brings me to gripe 3: it’s not the easiest “popping” off the pop socket. I feel like I’m going to bend my phone in half when I attempt to remove it. Otherwise your choice. I’m probably not buying another one like this, but a regular case I would.
I’ve been using this case for a few months now after previously using an Otterbox Symmetry with a popsocket stuck on the back of it. This case is upgrade since the popsocket is integrated into the case so it protrudes less and it’s also easily removable so I can use wireless charging again.
I’ve ordered a black one for my wife. Since we have a 3 month old baby we’ve found we need to do more things, such as text each other, one handed and this case makes that a lot easier since you get can a better hold on your phone.
I bought this as soon as it came back off of back order and it is absolutely worth every penny. Cute, durable and lays flat with my pop socket. I love it.
I've always wanted to try the pop sockets, but I like the wireless charging on my phone, so this is awesome. It's easy to take off, but still sturdy when on. Only downfalls are, I can see myself losing the socket (guess I should buy a back up) and sometimes it can be a bit finicky about wireless charging, like you have to move it around to find the good spot. Other then that, I've already dropped it and it's help up great.
Solid protection all around and I would definitely recommend this to protect you are not an expensive device! My only critique on the negative side would be the cover over the charging port. It’s not the easiest to open and plug in your power cord, it’s definitely a two hand procedure, you really have to push the little rubber door back and try to find the port. But other than that, it’s top shelf!
