I like the durability of Otterbox defender cases. My partner works in construction and needs a case that withstand a lot of abuse, dirt, etc. It was convenient to have the pop socket already in the case itself. However, the location of the socket makes it hard to prop up the phone. It’s directly in the center of the back of the case. The socket should be off to the side to better support the phone.

While using that OtterBox as a stand, we usually suggest pulling the PopTop all the way out then angling one side up. This allows you to use the side that's still popped out as the stand for your phone. Additionally, we recommend having the camera-side of your phone down and close to the stable surface. I've always bought and believed in the defender series, especially after one of my phones was run over by a car... Had to replace the otter, but my phone was protected... That was a couple otters ago... This new otter is great... Able to charge my phone wirelessly without removing the popsocket and still have the benefits of the pop... Great combo.

I bought this to replace my old Otterbox case. The only reason that I needed a new case is because my phone fell out of my Jeep right into the pavement while I was driving. My old Otterbox saved my phone from any damage at all! So of course I’m going to trust another, and this one fits it my holder because the pop socket lays flat!

I’m a snob - totally admit it. I used to have a “Kate Spade” only policy. :) I purchased this cover after paying over 1K for a new phone I am determined to keep it as protected as I can. So, in addition to the screen protector I decided to try out the OtterBox case. I LOVE IT! It’s sturdy and you can just tell it is quality. I also decided to purchase a cover for my IPad which has basically made the thing indestructible! Thanks OtterBox - great product!!!

The popsocket is useless in this bulky design

I bought this so that i could use a popsocket with my wireless charging pad. I also watch a lot of videos on my phone so i had a popsocket attached to my previous otterbox to function as a stand. Because THIS particular otterbox is so bulky, the popsocket doesn’t provide enough distance to create a stable stand. So it is basically a useless and expensive ornament on my phone. Would only recommend it if you use the popsocket more for grip while holding your phone. Otherwise, i regret this purchase. But i always get otterboxes for my phones cuz i am clumsy, and am a fan of the quality. This collab could have just used a better thoughtout design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
