Wasn’t happy with case

My phone bounces around in case not secure at all so I stopped using it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love having the protection of an otter box with the convince of having a pop socket. I don’t drop my phone as much ( I’m a klutz) having the pop socket but when I do I don’t panic as much.

Can’t use all my controls

I’m not happy that I can’t use all my i-phones buttons with my otter box case on it. I have the Xs max , the Apple logo is a usable button, go to accessibility- touch-back tap-double tap there are several options it can be set for. I have mine set for screenshots. But it’s unusable with Otter Box case

We're sorry to hear you're having some trouble utilizing the Back Tap feature of your iPhone while the device is covered with the Otter + Pop Symmetry Series Case. Although it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to activate your chosen double and triple-click shortcuts through the PopTop component, we would expect the case to allow such functionality above it.

Stand feature doesn't work / doesn't work well

The pop out mini-stand doesn't extend enough to angle the phone very much and the stand itself won't stay in place. The rest of the case seems fine, I just wouldn't bother with the stand feature.

We're sorry to hear you're having some trouble using your Otter + Pop Defender Series Case as a means for hands-free viewing. For propping up some of the more sizable devices like yours, PopSockets recommends expanding and then tilting or “kinking” the PopTop to one side for a more stable experience. In addition, it will be helpful to have the heavier camera side of the device be closer to the surface that you’re placing it on to avoid things getting a bit top-heavy.
In addition, that belt clip/holster component should be able to be used as a stand as well. Or were you also struggling with that piece? Feel free to give our friendly Otters a call at 1-855-688-7269 if we can be of further assistance and we'll always be happy to help!

I have no idea why they would even sell this for the 8 Plus. It took about 2 seconds to see that it was not going to hold the phone up to watch the screen. The phone was too heavy, or the pop wasn't strong enough. Either way, all I did was put it back in the package and spend more time returning it to them.

This allows you to use the side that's still popped out as the stand for your phone. Additionally, we recommend having the camera-side of your phone down and close to the stable surface and recommend placing something under the PopSocket to ensure the correct viewing angle is achieved.
