Kept my phone safe for over 2 years

I bought this case 2 years ago after upgrading to a new phone. I used to have such an issue with phone screens cracking but this case has truly kept my phone safe the entire time. Even as it has fallen apart (2 years is a long time for a case, the softer bits have been falling off slowly over time and the volume button bits are gone, as well as the piece around the speaker.) it has taken care of my phone. I haven't used a tempered glass screen protector on this phone because I just kept on forgetting to put it on, and despite many drops, I have no cracks anywhere on my phone. The only surface blemishes I have are minor scratches likely from it being in my pocket all the time. The only reason I am considering replacing this case is that the pop socket bit broke off about 2 months ago so now I can no longer attach pop sockets to the case. I've been holding off because I'm not sure when I will replace my phone (I've been technically due for an upgrade for 6 months), but I think I will get a replacement case and wait for the next gen iPhones to come out.

Good, functional case with pop-socket

I bought this case for the design of the pop-socket which retracts to a nearly flush-mounted seat on the back of the case for better transport in clothing pockets. The socket is still relatively easy to extend and use for secure holding and viewing with one hand. The case provides great protection for the phone without being too bulky and fits perfectly over all openings. The volume and power buttons are still easy to operate when covered by the plastic button indentations. The case strikes a fair balance between grip texture and ease of sliding a phone into a pocket without too much friction. I have to dock it one star, however, for not providing a stable kickstand with the pop-socket while extended. The iPhone Xs Max barely stands up on its side in the landscape position and pressing the touch-screen with the slightest pressure while the phone is positioned on the stand will cause it to immediately topple over. It's simply not sturdy enough to use effectively in this position for most tasks although I was able to watch part of game 7 of the NHL hockey final with the phone on its stand as long as it was kept stationary. Offering a better variety of color options for the case would also improve its attractiveness as a product.

good product but no screen protection

I just got my otterbox for my work phone and I have had other otter boxes for my work phone as well. I noticed 2 things. 1- this version does not have a screen protector like other defenders have, 2- there is not belt clip that comes with this version as well. Same product, same price, less of what you pay for.

Happy until pop socket broke

Originally I really liked the base, great for being outside a lot in Colorado. I had only had it a few months when the pop socket broke off of the case. I have looked all over and not been able to find a way to reattach the pop socket, without replacing the entire case. Regret this purchase.

Defender with pod fail

I bought this for my iPhone 10s max. The placement of the pod would not work to prop the phone up with landscape or portrait. The pod was comfortable holding, but I wanted something to prop up the phone and this did not work.

No Wireless Charging

It says that it supports wireless charging but it does not! I went to bed last night on 80% charge and woke up with it on 26%! This isn't that first time but I thought that I didn't have it on the charger properly the last time. This time I made sure to see the charging symbol on my phone and nope, Obviously you can still use a wired charger but I bought it because of the Pop Socket and its ability to charge wirelessly. Wasted my money!

Are you charging the case with the PopTop attached? If you are experiencing interference in this position, we would recommend removing the PopTop, and then reapplying when charging is complete. Otter box with the built-in Pop Socket

The quality of the Otter box is great. My issue is that because the Pop Socket is recessed my finger rides much higher on the Pop Socket than a regular Pop Socket and the plastic lip at the top of the Pop Socket hurts my finger. Not happy with this design. It needs to be changed.
